New Canon Instant Savings: Prices Went Down (?), R6 Mark II $1899

Canon USA started a new instant savings period today (lasting until May 4th). Prices surprisingly went down, with the rebate being renewed on most items (and increased by $100 on some popular cameras and lenses below). Notably, the EOS R6 Mark II is now $1899.00, and the EOS R5 Mark II + BG-R20 battery grip bundle is still $3999.00 at B&H.

Note, this doesn’t rule out a future tariff-induced price increase, which can still be applied independent of the instant savings schedule. The last we heard, this is still coming.

Instant savings were improved on the following items:

Refurb Restock: RF 200-800 $1709, RF 28-70L, EOS R6 Mark II $1799

The Canon Store restocked a number of popular refurbished lenses and cameras. Check out our refurbished stock tracker for a list of all items available, or the refurb livestream to watch the restocks. Refurbished items from the Canon Store come with a 1-year Canon USA warranty.

Plan Ahead: Canon Instant Savings, Tariffs, and Store Closures

The second phase of “reciprocal tariffs” came into effect at midnight, earlier today, and the tariff rate on goods from Japan (including most Canon cameras and lenses) is now 24%. Consumer prices have not yet changed. It’s suspected that the first opportunity for a price change will be on April 20th, at the end of the current Canon instant savings period.

Canon is currently discounting an assortment of popular RF cameras and lenses by up to $300 with “instant savings” that you can see active at Canon USA authorized dealers, until April 20th.

Please note that some dealers will start their Passover holiday on Friday, April 11th, and re-open on April 20th. If you wish to order in the current instant rebate period at these dealers (such as B&H and Adorama) please do so before Friday.

Street Prices May Be Impacted Soon, Order Today for Free Overnight

Many of our street prices may be impacted when the first 10% phase of tariffs is implemented at 12:01 AM on April 5th (those who have recently purchased from our street price program will know why).

There is still tremendous uncertainty, but today may be the last day the street price deals below are available. As the authorized Canon dealer is providing free overnight express shipping, any order made today before shipping cutoff would arrive tomorrow — in advance of any potential tariffs. We recommend that orders are placed and paid before 2 PM ET.
