10% discount does a little more than take care of the sales tax

So true. I mean..some of them are discounted more than they were last I looked but I guess that isn’t a discount more than just a price drop lol I guess if you wanted to save a little this is a good option because they’re refurb with a year warranty but used from other retailers comes with a warranty too – or you can take a chance from a seller. Lenses can be pretty solid so used is *usually* safe.

I forgot that Canon charges sales tax. Ugh.

    4. July 28, 2017 at 8:37 am EDT

lol every retailer has to..dang laws

    5. July 28, 2017 at 8:40 am EDT

Out of state retailers online don’t.

    6. July 28, 2017 at 8:40 am EDT

They are supposed to charge whatever your state tax is.

    7. July 28, 2017 at 8:41 am EDT

Well if they have a physical office, store, or warehouse.

    8. July 28, 2017 at 8:44 am EDT

I know. That’s not out of state though.

    9. July 28, 2017 at 8:46 am EDT

It depends on the state 😉

Even after tax, some of these prices are lower than the next lowest price. You need to know the trends to figure it out. If you save at least 100 bucks once the math is all done then it’s a good deal. Canon refurbs have the same warranty as a brand new lens, and have been inspected and repaired by a technician. In some cases, they were never even bad, they were just open box items that got returned for cosmetic issues, or because the user didn’t know how to use it. I got an 80D on a refurb sale, and so far as I can tell the only problem is the shiny cover on the shutter was missing, and was likely the reason someone returned it. Not one issues, and I saved almost 400 bucks buying it this way. Some of these lenses are 100+ savings after the math. Do your research and the math. Some deals are good, others not so much.

LOL, I meant lower than the street price, not the next lowest price.
