As predicted on Thursday, the Canon Direct Store started a refurbished sale tonight. They are offering 10% off refurbished lenses, and are also featuring the refurbished EOS 5D Mark III for $1999 and 7D Mark II for $1199. Many items have very little stock, so please act quickly. Also, many items began the sale out-of-stock. Check out our refurbished stock tracker for the full list.
There may be a restock before the sale ends next Sunday. Sign-up for notifications via our tracker to get notified about any restocks. Refurbished items come with a 1-year Canon USA warranty.

Wondering would it more cheaper during thanks giving/Christmas?
They might run a 15%-off refurb sale as they did in the past. However, the difficulty is always finding the item in-stock. The very popular items (70-200 II, 24-70 II, 100-400 II, etc.) sell out so quickly at 10%-off so the chance of you finding it at 15%-off or more is very low.
If the item is often in-stock even during 10%-off sales, then yes, you have a chance at catching the item at a greater sale amount.
Thank you!!!! CPW, you are the best!!!! You helped me get my 6D last year at an amazing sale and I just got the 24-70 ii!!! I would have loved to wait for a bigger sale BUT at 10% off it was under $1,500 (with tax) and that’s pretty awesome for this lens. So, I’m happy!!!! I got your notification and immediately bought it! THANK YOU!!!
Is buying refurbished as good as buying new? I’ve never taken advantage of this before. Thanks!
if from canon, it’s probably better than new as it’s gone through another round of inspection
Any chance the 100L gonna be in stock? Thanks
It’s in stock @ $647.99 + tax.
I only trust Larry at http://www.adorama.com/ for used gear.
Canon refurb is better than new. I have gotten great stuff from them
It is all flawless and has no signs of wear, plus a warranty
Julie Louisa Hagenbuch, I recently purchased my first refurbished lens from Canon. Everything went VERY well, and I am quite satisfied with the service, quality, and price. The only thing that seemed different from a new lens is that it did not come in the original box, and clearly that simply does not matter. It was packaged and shipped safely with all the accessories. It is, IMO, a great option to have.
The 5D Mark III is $2,118.94 including tax.
That camera is amazing! I just bought one open box from Adorama and it is a beautiful camera! Love it!
With the release of the 5D Mark IV, will the Mark III continue to drop drastically, or is the $1999 a price we will see for several months? I saw a Jet post you previously listed at $1939…
Nikon doesn’t need sales to sell
Tim Stroh
I bought the 5D Mark iii yesterday. Thanks. Now I am trying to figure out the lenses. I was hoping the 35MM 1.4 would be on sale and then couple that with the 100MM Macro, but no such luck. Maybe I will get the 50MM 1.4.
I paid for a refurbished 2x extender 18 Sept and they sold out before my transaction went through. I called canon and they said that I have to keep checking to see when they’re available again and then call them to process my order. Does this sound normal?
