Interesting. Is Canon trying a “dutch auction” this year, with refurbished prices starting high, then gradually lowering (until everything sells out)?
Seems like the R50 was left out from the “sale”. Hoping for a sub 500 sale on the R50 with kit lens this time around.
If they lower prices on Black Friday will they price match if I get one of these deals today?
They will typical price adjust within 15 days. Some reps will insist that the sale item has to still be in stock.
What is the best time of day to get the deals. It’s 8:30 central time and everything is sold out. Also what Time zone do I check. I’m central standard.
The sales start at random times, but usually midnight ET. Set a notification on our site and we’ll email you when the sale starts…
I’ve been personally tracking for a while, who remembers these Refurbished deals from last year?
These days, everything seems like a mark up instead of a sale.
EF 70-200 F2.8L III $999
EF 70-200 F4L II $799
RF 24-105 F4L IS $699
5D Mark IV $1299
R6 Mark II $1699 ($1259 one day only!!!)
Tariffs caused a massive price increase in the summer. We’re seeing the impact of that trickle down to refurb pricing as well.
yeah, I understand tariffs played a role. They are 10% on Japan imports.
So that price difference makes sense for R6II.
But lens deals are doubled in some cases.
Comparing RF70-200 F4L at $1099 and RF24-70 F2.8L at $1499 in May 2024.
I think the tariffs gave some companies a cover to price gauge a bit.
If you’re looking for the RF 70-200 F4 I just upgraded to the 2.8 so I’ll be looking to sell. used it basically twice and it’s lived in my house. My ig is iamdro
Thanks I’m good. 🙂
I’ve had both, but decided to keep F4.
