The EOS R was launched today. Our street price options for the EOS R are in-stock and are available for immediate shipping. Please inquire for the price and full offer details.
In addition to street price, the EOS R is also in-stock at these retailers:
A few weeks ago, we reported on a massive price increase due to expiring Canon instant rebates. We’re pleased to see some of the instant rebates are back, and our street prices have lowered accordingly. We hope to continue to see this trend of lowering prices, across the Canon line-up, over the next month.
We now have lowered street prices on:
One of our street price options on the EOS R has improved. The cameras are guaranteed available on Tuesday, October 9th. A number of authorized Canon USA dealers have reserved a limited quantity of first-allocation bodies for CPW readers. Please inquire for the price and full offer details.
We are told by several dealers that there is very short supply on the EOS R + RF 24-105mm kit. Most have sold out of their first allocation, but we have a few reserved kits left available through our street price program at $3399.
Today’s B&H DealZone (one-day deal) features the SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-II microSDXC with a USB 3.0 Adapter, at a 50% savings. Both 128GB and 64GB capacities are available.
This is an great deal for a UHS-II microSDXC card with max read speed of 275 MB/s and max write speed of 100 MB/s. Note the new EOS R does take UHS-II cards (but you’ll need an adapter). This deal is today only or until sold out.
If you didn’t pre-order the EOS R, it’s not too late to get a guaranteed ship-out on Tuesday, October 9th. A number of authorized Canon USA dealers have reserved a limited quantity of first-allocation bodies for CPW readers. The price is $2299.00, with free shipping. Please inquire for the full details.
This has been a popular pre-order item and we’re not sure how many cameras are available. We’re told that stores are only receiving a fraction of the cameras that they ordered. We also have various other offers available — please inquire.
B&H Photo Video is featuring a number of great deals on Lexar Compact Flash (160 MB/s), CFast 2.0, and SD (including UHS-II). We rarely see discounts on Compact Flash and CFast 2.0! Amazon has also matched the prices on a number of items.
Woot! (owned by Amazon) has the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 with 18-55mm STM Kit for $479.99. This is the lowest we’ve seen yet for this camera and lens kit brand new. Their listing indicates that it comes with a 1-year Canon warranty.
This deal is scheduled to only last another 7 hours and will expire tonight. Free standard shipping for Amazon Prime members.
Today’s B&H DealZone (one-day deal) features the a bundle of the Lowepro Flipside 300 Backpack and Manfrotto 190go! Tripod for $149.95. The tripod regularly goes for $150 and the bag goes for $90, so this is a net 37% savings. Click here to check out the deal at B&H Photo Video.
This deal is today only or until sold out.
This deal at Adorama is still live: they have the Canon PIXMA PRO-100 for $59.00, with free paper, after a $250 mail-in rebate. No coupon code is required. According to Adorama’s site, today’s the last day for this sale.
A new rebate period just started on September 1st. You are eligible for a mail-in rebate for one printer purchase during the September 1st to October 31st period. This is an amazing deal as the printer comes with normal, full ink tanks that can be easily sold for over $90. The printhead can also be resold, so this deal can either be a money-maker or a way to get almost free ink. For more details, see our frequently asked questions on the PIXMA PRO-100 deal.
UPDATE: Amazon has now matched and is also showing a $3199 price. This is likely not because the rebate is real, but likely just a straight price-match of a competitor.
B&H Photo Video lowered the pre-order price on the Canon EOS R with RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM Kit to $3199.00 (a $200 savings from the original price of $3399). Their website is showing a $200 instant rebate on this item — except, we think that might be a mistake. A $200 rebate started on the EOS 5Ds R, and we think it was mistakenly applied. Competitors’ sites — such as Adorama or Amazon — are not showing the same discount.
This is a pretty good opportunity to try to save $200 on this pre-release item — if they will honor the price. Note that B&H online checkout closes today (Sunday) at 6:30 for a holiday observance.
