Maven Filters is running a new Kickstarter campaign for “Wave 2” of their color coded magnetic filters. Last year, we posted about their previous campaign, which was a success. They introduced new filters that are magnetic for rapid stack-on/stack-off use, and color-coded for easier identification.

In their new campaign, they’re expanding their filter line-up with linear polarizers (LPL), Dark CPLs which integrate ND and CPL filters together, graduated ND filters, and more. You can pledge $59 to get a single Wave 2 filter of your choice in 82mm, 77, 72, or 67mm sizes. A pledge of $249 gets you the Early Bird Special of 5 filters of your choice, plus a quick case and a magnetic adapter ring. A lifetime manufacturer’s warranty is included, and the filters are expected to ship in March 2024.

As with all Kickstarter campaigns, there is always a risk that creators will not be able to fulfill the rewards of the pledge. The creator of this campaign is quite reputable, with a long history in the photography community, so the risk is lower (but not zero). Pledge at your own risk!
