Last Call: Street Prices on RF Zoom Trinity to Increase, Later This Week

Our street prices on the very popular RF “Zoom Trinity” will be going up slightly (we’re expecting about $50-100 per lens) later this week. The advertised price has already gone up by $100 at most dealers, due to an expiring Canon rebate.

We expect the current prices to return with new rebates, in time for Thanksgiving (by late-November). If you don’t want to wait until then, please ensure your street price order is complete before Wednesday.

These street prices are from authorized Canon dealers, and all items come with a 1-year Canon USA warranty. No state sales tax is collected.

I guess it does depends what you already have and what focal range is used most. For example, if you already have the EF 16-35 f/2.8L III, that lens is optically excellent and fairly new design, and with the R5/R6 bodies, image stabilization is not as important because of IBIS. The RF 70-200 is the most significant change from EF, however, if you don’t shoot that focal range often, and some people care about the extending barrel, then it might make sense to go for the other lenses first. All things being equal, I would go first for the RF 70-200 (because it is the most significant change from EF), then RF 24-70 (because the EF version is the oldest, from 2012), then RF 15-35 last (because the EF version is optically excellent).
