Chance? Always. Right now, we’re not aware of anything coming for the 135mm f/2L.
The 80D price is very tempting. It seems to be holding its initial pricing longer than the 70D, so I don’t know if it’s worth waiting for the 80D to become available as a refurb.

What is the deal with the 70D? Why is it I can get an 80D, USA model, for about $100 more than a 70D now? Why is the 70D $180 higher this holiday season, than it was a year ago ??? Kind of frustrating…

It’s hard to call it a ridiculous price when it has been selling out at that price. Lots of interest in that camera. I don’t see a price drop coming for a while.
CanonPriceWatch.com the reason I think it’s ridiculous is because the spec/price compared to competitors. I would say below 3k is more reasonable than 3499.
