B&H and Adorama have now updated their pre-order price to correctly show the $300 pre-order discount on the “Premium Kit”. Effectively, you are getting a free SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 memory card, plus a CFast 2.0 card reader, when you pre-order the EOS-1D X Mark II.
- EOS-1D X Mark II + 64GB CFast Card, $5999 at Amazon
- EOS-1D X Mark II + 64GB CFast Card, $5999 at B&H
- EOS-1D X Mark II + 64GB CFast Card, $5999 at Adorama
The effective $300 discount from the free CFast card is likely the best deal we’ll see for a while! This discount is only eligible for pre-orders. The camera is expected to ship in mid-April. Typically, a long delay for availability indicates that initial supply is expected to be low.
Wonder if this means that not too many people have pre-ordered?
No, this is the correct price to begin with. For some reason not every retailer was showing the pre-order discount yesterday. Amazon and Canon Direct Store were the only two to get it right…
Sooooo very tempted after preliminary research. Looking forward to more details and samples… especially of the high-ISO/low noise benefits of the new sensor.
OMG drool
Only if I had an extra $6000.00 in my pocket.
This is the new model, but why canon not improve auto focus piont. So if I gonna spend 6000 for it. Maybe I gonna consider go for nikon d5.
More isn’t always better.Anyways, the autofocus system was a major selling point onthe 1Dx. This can only be better Should you be on a Nikon watch instead of here?
I too wonder how the D5 will stack up against the 1DX, regarding AF performance. I am on both watch pages…go figure lol. They’re the same website too, which is convenient. I won’t be buying until 2018 anyway, when the “nice price” comes around and my budget can match it.
I so want this tool!

I have ordered from both stores and they both have delivered to me that is. Almost seems like they are from the same owner. My question is Adorama or B&H folks?
