EOS-1D X Mark II: Pre-Order Now for $5999 with Free 64GB CFast

The EOS-1D X Mark II has been announced!

B&H and Adorama have adjusted the above Premium Kit price to $5999, as we were expecting them to! Your pre-orders should automatically switch over to the lower price.

Canon USA is including a free SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO CFast 2.0 Card and card reader (a $300 value). You can pre-order at Amazon, B&H or Adorama. Be sure to order the “Premium Kit” that includes the free SanDisk 64GB CFast card. The effective $300 discount is likely the best deal we’ll see for a while!

The camera has a new battery pack and wireless transmitter:

Amazon and Canon Direct Store are showing the $300 instant rebate on the “Premium Kit” with the 64GB CFast card. I’d expect B&H and Adorama to fix this very soon.

This really doesn’t seem like enough of an upgrade to make me want to fork out $6K. I think I’ll stick with my 1Dx for now. Agree with Thien, WiFi should have been built in.

Some day people will stop demanding wifi on a magnesium alloy body and realize that the materials they love are what makes it impossible.

I hope the 5D lV has better upgrades than this , I guess I should just bite the bullet and switch to Nikon!

Use whatever works best for you. I’m not sure why you need to tell us about it though. It’s either for validation, or to argue, both are pretty sad behaviour from a grown man.

Better order it from b&h if your canon breaks they’ll replace it no question ask.

How come Amazon is cheaper ? I don’t like to buy stuff from them because I have to pay taxes.

    1. February 2, 2016 at 2:50 pm EDT

B&H and Adorama weren’t applying the discount yet. They are now.

Joel Taylor, he’s urging you out of the Canon Camp in order to score your lenses. 😉

Since the new model will be out soon. Are there any chances of 5DM3 going on further sale? or are we expecting a new model 5DM4? What would like a buyer to do hold on or just get it at the current price?

I have been waiting on the price to come down. As soon (if) a new model is announced, the prices will almost have to. At least that’s what I’m gambling on. But hen I will see the specs of the Mark IV and say “but I have to have the new one”. It’s a vicious cycle. 🙂

So pre-order, they aren’t charged until they are ready to ship out correct? This would be my first time.
