Price Drop: EOS 6D Mark II for $1749 from an Authorized Dealer

Our street price on the EOS 6D Mark II has been newly lowered to $1749 — this is for a brand new camera from a Canon authorized dealer with a 1-year Canon USA warranty. Quantities are limited. Please inquire for more details.

There is also a great bundle deal for $1699 after a $350 mail-in rebate, which includes a free PIXMA PRO-100 printer. This bundle deal expires Sunday evening.

Hot: EOS 70D + 18-55 IS STM + PIXMA PRO-100 for $569 AR

In addition to the hot bundle deals on the 6D Mark II, 80D, 77D, and Rebels, Focus Camera also has a bundle of the EOS 70D with 18-55 IS STM Kit and PIXMA PRO-100 for $569.00, after the Canon USA $350 mail-in rebate.

These printer bundles have proven very popular as they are hot prices: the printer ink and head alone can resale for $90-$100; this puts this older-generation camera + lens combo at around $470, which is well below the used market value for this camera. Click here to check out the deal at Focus Camera.

Please do read the caveat about Focus Camera as well as check out the other bundles. They expire on Sunday evening.

Hot: 6D Mark II $1699, 80D $789, with Free Printer AR (with Caveat)

Authorized Canon USA dealer Focus Camera has a number of hot bundles that include a free PIXMA PRO-100 printer, after the Canon USA $350 mail-in rebate. These are some very hot prices, especially as the printer ink and head alone can resale for $90-$100 — the best printer bundles we’ve seen in quite some time. Please note some caveats about the dealer Focus Camera at the bottom of this post.

Caveat: First and foremost Focus Camera is an authorized Canon USA dealer, so that puts them solidly one notch above grey market dealers. However, their ratings read like a mixed bag — with both smooth positive reviews as well as reviews describing problematic transactions: wrong items shipped, and long delays for cancellation or refunds. They’re certainly not a scam, they’re likely just a disorganized dealer with below-average customer service and logistics.

The prices are too good to turn down, however, with savings $200-300 off even our fantastic street prices when you consider both the upfront savings plus the free printer. Our recommendation is to proceed cautiously and be ready to exercise credit card chargeback or other recourse at the first sign of things going awry. If you’re not comfortable or don’t want the hassle, keep on waiting and perhaps another dealer will match this deal eventually.

(Friendly reminder, you can only do one printer rebate during the Oct 1 – Dec 31 period, per household. Make it count!)

30 Hours Left for Peak Design’s Capture and Slide (20-30% Off)

The more we learn about Peak Design’s Capture and Slide products, the more impressed we get. With all camera gear, the devil is always in the details, and Peak Design has really taken the time to get all the details right. It’s been fascinating to watch the various live hangouts on their Kickstarter page, where they’ve been discussing all the minute design details — and reasoning — for their Capture v3 ($55), a camera-carry clip, and the Slide ($50) and Slide Lite ($35) quick-connecting camera straps.

We can’t wait to get our hands on their newly designed gear, at a 20-30% discount from retail via their Kickstarter campaign. In many cases, it’s priced less than the older versions already on the market. In addition to a great discount on the new products, they’re offering discounts of 10-50% from retail across a range of accessories. Included in the discounts are bags from their Everyday line, the star of a previous $6.5 million Kickstarter campaign. Scroll down to the bottom of their Kickstarter campaign for the offers.

Don’t miss out on this Kickstarter campaign — it expires in 30 hours. In four short days, it’s been funded to nearly 10 times goal, almost $1 million.
