Hot: Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan — 12 Months for $89.99

Many readers have noted it’s been a while since we’ve seen a deal on the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan.

Over the last few months, seller “m_wijkstra” via eBay has offered the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan (12 Month Subscription) for only $89.99 — or only $7.49 per month. The download codes are delivered digitally. We were skeptical when we first saw this deal a few months ago, but several months of positive feedback over their multiple sales has convinced us.

This download code can either be used to start a new subscription, or extend a current subscription. Multiple years can be purchased at once, to extend your subscription multiple years and lock-in the lower rate.

Black Friday Street Price Special: EOS M5, M6 with Free EF-M Adapter

We have a very limited quantity Black Friday Special on EOS M5 and EOS M6, brand new from a Canon authorized dealer. All items are bundled with a free genuine Canon EF-M Lens Adapter. Please note this is a genuine Canon adapter, but it does not come with the tripod foot accessory.

This is brand new from a Canon authorized dealer, is in-stock, and comes with free shipping. Quantities are very limited and we’ll be taking orders first-come first-served until sold out (sorry, no backorders are possible).

What and When to Expect from Canon Black Friday Deals 2017

Here’s a quick summary of what and when to expect from Canon as we head into the Black Friday season. In this post, we’ll cover deals on Canon cameras and lenses, as well as the expected timing of refurbished, grey market, and Amazon deals.

New Cameras — 5D Mark IV and 6D Mark II — Already Here!

The deals on the 5D Mark IV and 6D Mark II are already here, and we don’t expect improvements for Black Friday. The 5D Mark IV + freebies (including the BG-E20 grip) is $2849 after mail-in rebate at B&H or Adorama. The 6D Mark II (with same freebies) is $1349 after mail-in rebate at B&H or Adorama now expired. We also have street price bundles. We don’t know if these deals will last until Black Friday, B&H’s site says the deals expire tonight.

Cameras — Everything Else — Starting Midnight ET Tonight

We’re hearing noise on the 5D Mark III and 6D, and wouldn’t be surprised if they get discounted further. The Canon rebate period switches over at midnight ET tonight, so please check back then if you’re looking for a deal, quantities are limited on these discontinued bodies. Our street prices on the EOS 80D and EOS-1D X Mark II are newly lowered to the lowest price of the season.

Lenses — Black Friday Street Price Sale Already Running

Our Black Friday street prices sale on lenses has been running for a week and have been popular. We have some terrific prices and we don’t expect them to decrease further. We typically don’t see advertised deals for lenses on Black Friday (generally just camera deals), but you never know. Best-sellers below:

Sigma Art Lenses have already been discounted ($100-off, Free Dock, 4% rewards on select lenses) and have been very popular this entire week. It’s a great week to invest in some excellent Sigma Art glass.

Refurbished — Likely Starting Midnight ET Tonight

The Canon Direct Store‘s “Pre-Black Friday Sale” ends tonight, and will likely be followed up with their Black Friday sale at midnight ET tonight. It’s customary for them to have a %-off discount on refurbished lenses, and perhaps they’ll do the same on refurbished cameras. You can scope out what you’d like by heading over to our refurbished stock tracker and seeing the available inventory. Many desirable items are still in-stock. Setup a notification (or an alarm) and be ready at midnight ET tonight for the sale.

Used dealer KEH Camera historically has run their Black Friday deals on the actual day itself, so check back at midnight ET tomorrow (after turkey) for their savings and specials.

Grey Market — Already Started, But Not Impressive

In the past the grey market camera deals were the star of the Black Friday deals, but this year they’ve already started and are not impressive. This year they are headlined by the 5D Mark IV for $2549 and the 6D Mark II for $1499. They’re not selling, and we’re not surprised, because the authorized dealer deals are so much better — between the Canon USA warranty, Canon CarePAK PLUS extended warranty, and all the other freebies it’s worth the price differential to go with the authorized dealers.

Accessories — Amazon, Adorama, B&H, and Other Deals

Amazon has already started their Black Friday Deals Week, but the real big deals will begin at 9 PM ET on Thursday and last through Black Friday (11:59 PM Pacific Time.) We haven’t seen much yet in their Black Friday Deals Week but we’re still holding out hope for great accessories, filters, and 3rd party lens deals during their main event.

B&H and Adorama have been quiet on the accessories front — except for some decent B&H DealZone deals, and Adorama FlashPoint XPLOR and Speedlight deals, or MacBook Pro deals. We expect both stores to be active beginning tomorrow and lasting through Cyber Monday with tons of savings on photography accessories.

As always, the deals will be ever changing, so please do check back often, and sign-up for e-mail notifications to be the first to hear about the new deals. We’ll be covering the deals 24 hours per day through Cyber Monday. If we miss anything, please be sure to let us know via the contact form, and we’d be happy to share it with the CPW community. Thanks for following, and Happy Thanksgiving! We’re grateful for the support that you show us year-round.

Street Price on EOS-1D X Mark II Dropped to $5199 for Black Friday

The street price on the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II has now dropped to $5199. This is the lowest price seen yet for this camera, brand new from a Canon USA authorized dealer with a 1-year Canon USA warranty. Free shipping within the continental USA.

For a limited time, this also comes with a 13-month Canon CarePAK PLUS warranty. Should your camera be accidentally damaged beyond repair during the 13-month period, Canon will replace your camera! This is a great promotion from Canon USA and good piece of mind on a large investment like this camera.

Hot: Flashpoint XPLOR 600 TTL Monolight with R2 Transmitter $549

More hot deals from Adorama on their Flashpoint (rebranded Godox) line. The Flashpoint XPLOR 600 HSS TTL Battery-Powered Monolight for Canon (AD600) Kit is only $549.00, a $200 savings from the $749 regular price.

This kit has the XPLOR 600, a portable 600ws monolight powered by an internal Lithium Ion battery, capable of over 450 full power flash bursts on a single charge. It supports HSS and TTL, via the included Canon R2 Radio (2.4 GHz) Transmitter. A great value, and tremendously well reviewed.

Adorama: Save $1000, Upgraded 15.4″ MacBook Pro Touch Bar $1899

It’s Adorama‘s turn to clear out inventory of the Apple 15.4″ MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (Late 2016, Space Gray) as a Black Friday sale. An almost-fully upgraded model (better CPU, better graphics) is now only $1899.00.

The upgrades included on this model include the 2.9GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 (vs. 2.6GHz), and AMD Radeon Pro 460 GPU with 4GB GDDR5 (vs. 450 with 2GB). It also has 16GB RAM, perfect for image editing, and a 256GB SSD. This regularly goes for $2899, but is discounted to $1899.00 while quantities last.

This is a Late-2016 model, but the upgrades make it comparable (if not better) than the 2017 entry- and mid-level MacBook Pros.
