It’s always interesting to see what other people are purchasing. Here are the five most popular street price deals for January and February of 2017. Surprised?
All the street price deals come from Canon authorized dealers with a 1-year Canon USA warranty.
AdoramaPix has a special 25% sale — when you use the coupon “PXFLASHFEB” today or tomorrow. This discount can be applied to anything AdoramaPix ships, including their gorgeous professional custom photobooks.
We’ve ordered lay-flat photobooks as well as wall decor prints from AdoramaPix and have always been impressed with the quality of the printing as well as the reasonable prices. Please do make sure all art is uploaded with the proper sRGB color space for the best results.
Today’s B&H DealZone (one-day deal) is the APC BE550G Back-UPS 550 8 Outlet Surge Protector and Battery Backup for $42.95. This is a 39% savings from the regular price of $70, today only.
This is immensely useful for photographers — we use these extensively. In addition to plugging in our computers (to prevent lost work during a power failure), we also plugin our network-attached storage, as it doesn’t tolerate being abruptly power cycled. Also, during an outage, we’ve used the battery reserve to top off cell phone, camera, and laptop batteries. Handy!
Four new lenses were announced last week — three Sigma Art lenses and one Sigma Contemporary lens. This includes the much awaited Art 135mm f/1.8 as well as the Art 24-70mm OS. Their prices are expected to be announced at the end of March. To get notified immediately when the lenses are available to pre-order, please click the below links and then click the ‘Notify’ button to sign-up for an e-mail notification.
Amazon has the Canon EOS 80D with 18-135mm Kit for $1168.95. This is a fantastic price for this camera + lens combo, which regularly goes for $1499. The included lens is the new 18-135mm “Nano USM”. This is sold by Amazon, not a 3rd party.
Recently, Amazon has been featuring price drops (below MAP) on Canon gear, but each sale only lasts for a very short period of time — just a few hours! We don’t think this one will last long either.
The Canon Direct Store has the EF 200mm f/2L IS USM refurbished for $4,559.20 (regularly at $5,699.00 brand new). This ties with the previous sale prices in the last year. Refurbished items come with a 1-year Canon USA warranty.
Amazon has the Canon EOS 6D with 24-105mm f/4L Kit for $1789.99 (Reg. $2099). We are not sure if it is a pricing mistake, but this is a great price!
Please also consider a street price for the Canon EOS 6D with 24-105mm f/4L Kit of $1,759.99 from a Canon USA authorized dealer with a 1 year Canon warranty.
The following Zeiss lenses are on sale at B&H this week – discounts from $300 to $900. These deals also come with free expedited shipping and 4% B&H rewards.
The Canon Direct Store “Presidents’ Day Sale” ends tonight at midnight — many refurbished lenses have sold out but a limited number of very desirable lenses remain, including the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II refurbished for $1583.28, after a 10% discount. Readers have also been interested in the excellent deals on the EOS 5Ds, EOS 5Ds R, and the EOS 80D with 18-135mm Nano USM.
B&H Photo Video has a fantastic deal on the SanDisk 128GB Extreme UHS-I U3 SDXC 90MB/s — it’s only $39.95, which is the lowest price seen yet on this memory card.
This is a high-speed UHS-1 memory card rated at up to 90 MB/s, UHS speed class 3. Regular price is $59.95, this is an excellent price.
