Still Live: 5DayDeal “Video Creators Bundle 2020” for $89

The 5DayDeal “The Complete Video Creators Bundle” is still live, but not for long. This great collection of videos, tools, and software is a terrific way to improve both your skills and your videos, at a heavily discounted bundle price. The bundle is only available for just over two more days, and this specific bundle will not be offered again.

The bundle contains a number of courses for improving your filmmaking, everything from introductory guides to many in-depth resources on editing. Compared to the photography bundles, this bundle has many more downloadable resources (stock footage, soundtracks, overlays, etc.) that can immediately be leveraged in your projects.

Some other nice features of the bundle:

  • Streaming and Dropbox options — downloading 40 gigabytes of files has never been fun with previous bundles. You can now stream most content online through (password-protected) portals. You can also instantly save all the files to your Dropbox, if you have enough free space.
  • Charity benefit — about 10% of the proceeds are donated to charity. In the seven years they’ve been running these bundles, $1.5m has been raised.
  • The Giveaway is free! Even if you don’t want the bundle, sign-up for the 100% free giveaway.

Please do check out the 5DayDeal “Complete Video Creators” Bundle before it’s gone! It’s worth purchasing if one or two of the items catch your interest, and perhaps something unexpected in the bundle will inspire you.

  • Filmmaking resources. The fstoppers “Introductory Filmmaking Guide” is a very approachable walkthrough. Shane Hurlbut gives a fascinating tutorial in “Lighting Day Interiors”. Also included are courses on “Screenwriting and Story Development”, and “Post Audio and Sound Design”.
  • Many editing guides, with multiple courses focused on the nuances of editing video or sound in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Business guides, including how to leverage YouTube or Twitter for your video business, including how to make YouTube ads work for you! “Keeping Your Footage Safe and Sound” is a great guide to backup for filmmakers, but is relevant to any photographer as well.

Super Hot: EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM for $539.19 via Woot!

UPDATE: Sold out in 28 minutes.

Woot! (owned by Amazon) has the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM for only $539.19. This is the “Mark I” old version of the lens. This is a “Prime Exclusive” deal that is only available to Amazon Prime members. Compare with a regular price of $1099.

Woot!‘s site doesn’t indicate that it’s open box or refurbished, so you can assume that it is brand new.

A limited quantity is available — this will likely sell out. Their site indicates that the item comes with a Woot 90-day warranty (we think this may to be avoid MAP restrictions). It is however still a great deal, a better price than what is usually available through the used or grey market.
