Another price mistake at the Canon store? Canon Direct Store has the Canon Speedlite EL-1 for $479.20, brand new. This is their flagship speedlite that regularly retails for $1099! When you add-to-cart, you see $500 + 20% instant savings.
They will probably fix this, but they may honor the price!

Update 8/30 – On my Order Details page status was changed from Processing to Cancellation Requested so it seems there was an error in pricing after all
they just cancelled my order for a single el-1 🙁
Missed out on the deal but it was still priced at $711 at the time I saw the page so I went ahead and ordered. Like all, my order was cancelled. Now the refurb price is back to $989 which by the way is higher than the brand new ($899) sold at Canon’s own site. What a joke.
The new price is $989.00, not $899.00.
I think the refurbished listing is also a mistake, as I don’t think they’ve released refurbished EL-1s yet.
