Another price mistake at the Canon store? Canon Direct Store has the Canon Speedlite EL-1 for $479.20, brand new. This is their flagship speedlite that regularly retails for $1099! When you add-to-cart, you see $500 + 20% instant savings.

Canon’s added on additional instant savings for Thanksgiving week. The Speedlite EL-1 is now discounted an extra $100 to $899.00 and the EOS M200 with 15-45mm Kit (Black) is now $449.00. Adorama is adding-on free bonus accessories at the newly discounted price.

Canon announced the EOS M50 Mark II (in body and with a 15-45mm kit), as well as the Speedlite EL-1. Both are now available for preorder.
Oddly, the Speedlite is the more intriguing announcement of today. In an age where photographers have gone with affordable, off-brand flashes, Canon has gone the other way with a $1099 “1 series” light, featuring a xenon flashtube and a rechargeable LP-EL lithium-ion battery pack. Very interesting!
