Adobe Creative Cloud $30/mo ($360/yr), Works for Existing Subscribers

Adobe’s Black Friday Deal of Creative Cloud for $29.99/month is excellent, but that deal is only for new subscribers.

Luckily, there is a way for existing subscribers to lock in one-year at the same 40%-off price — the only catch is you need to purchase one whole year. B&H Photo Video is also discounting the Adobe Creative Cloud (12 Month Subscription) to only $359.99, which is equivalent to the $30/month deal price.

UPDATE: One of our CPW readers, Jim, has successfully extended his Adobe Creative Cloud subscription with the 12-month purchase at B&H. He’s shared the instructions below:

  1. Purchase the Adobe Creative Cloud 12-month subscription at B&H.
  2. Go to http://redeem.adobe.com/ and login to your Adobe account.
  3. Use the code received from B&H via e-mail.
  4. Confirm that your next payment is now due 1 year later!

Hello and Thank you as this worked for me 🙂 My subscription was due for renewal on Nov 30th so I thought I would try. I contacted Adobe thru chat which was sloooow but they told me what to do! I bought the 12 month download from BH Photo, logged into my adobe account and went to https://redeem.adobe.com/ and used the serial I received from BH which activated the key and added 12 months to my subscription. billing Now says “Next payment is scheduled for November 30, 2020”. Thank you for this and now I hope you have some good Lens discounts coming up 😀

No problem! I felt it was my duty to report back and help my fellow photographers out. Plus you have helped me save a few $$ so it was the least I could do 🙂 Thou I was actually impatiently waiting to see if another user would report back first but I didn’t want to miss out on the deal so I went for it lol. I just took a chance that BH Photo wouldn’t have wrong info listed and Adobe chat was right. I would also like to note Adobe sent me an email confirming my account has been credited 366 days. I’m happy, Thanks again!

Honestly before this deal was announced I saw my existing subscription was about to be raised. Went online to cancel and on their messenger thing told them I was doing so cause I couldn’t pay more and they offered me the 29.99 price. If everyone does it they may catch on, but it’s definitely way easier then starting a new subscription

Thanks. One clarification, this isn’t starting a new subscription, but just purchasing a code to extend your existing subscription.

The deal is still going on at B&H, and it worked for me just now!

I already had an annual Creative Cloud (all apps) plan that I pay $59/mo for and that does not expire until August 2020. I called and asked an Adobe sales person what would happen if I were to buy and redeem the code for this new prepaid plan from B&H. The salesman told me it would not work. But after reading Jim’s info above, and digging around on the Adobe website, I ran across a FAQ blurb that seemed to indicate I could do it – but only with same exact product I currently have (if, for example, my current subscription was for the Photographers Plan, and I bought the B&H Creative Cloud plan, the two subscriptions would not be joined and would instead run simultaneously with each other….so, I’d then be paying for two separate plans at the same time).

Here is the Adobe redemption FAQ page that talks about this: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/redemption-code-help.html (scroll down to where it says “I already have an active subscription code. How do I redeem a subscription code?”).

I took a chance and made the purchase. I then followed the instructions and entered the redemption code into my account via the instructions that came with my code. The process worked perfectly for me.

My current annual subscription, which I have been paying monthly, is now on hold for 12 months. I still have to finish it out at $59/month for 10 more months (because it was it an annual subscription that ran from Aug 2019 to Aug 2020), but not until the end of this new prepaid 12-month subscription – which will be in November 2020.

Kinda makes me want to buy another one and extend it out by TWO years at this price!! Not sure that would work though!

Great! In the past, it’s been possible to buy multiple codes and extend the expiry by multiple years. Sometimes B&H may restrict the number of purchases per (B&H) account. If that’s the case, just create a new B&H account.

    @Jim, @Laura
Thank you very much for figuring out and thank you for confirming that it still works. I’ve decided to take advantage of the plan but sat on it for a couple of days. I am smack in the middle of current subscription and it will be on hold until the end of the new, discounted subscription. I saw my next payment defer to December 2020 from December 2019. Also, I have received service credit notification email from Adobe stating 366 free days of service. 2020 is a leap year so one extra free day as well 😀
