July Canon Deals on Cameras & Lenses! Free Grip, CarePAK, Rebates

Until Saturday August 4th, Canon has the following promotions on the EOS 5D Mark IV, EOS 6D Mark II, and four popular Canon lenses:

  1. The free Canon battery grip with purchase of 5D Mark IV / 6D Mark II.
  2. The free 13-month CarePAK PLUS promotion with selected cameras and lenses.
  3. The instant rebates (currently up to $400 on cameras, and up to $300 on select lenses).

We don’t know if Canon will extend these deals beyond the August 4th deadline.

My theory is that Canon is driving down prices on their low and mid FF dslr to complete with a7iii and make room at the high end for their FF milc to complete with a9. The 7d2 doesn’t factor into this as far as Canon sees it. They will start offering rebates when the 7d3 is ready to hit the market.

If you are ok with used gear KEH has one right now for 15% off and that gets the price below a grand. You could just get a grip with the money you saved. 7DmkII is built like a tank, I wouldn’t even sweat it being used, and if you are still not sure then keep in mind that the give a 180 day warranty, about half what you would get on a new camera (without care pack that is). They are one of the best deals out there.

Otherwise I wouldn’t hold my breath on that deal happening. It’s not one of the big sellers from Canon and wouldn’t be even with that kind of deal. It’s a great camera for what it does, but really, most shooters have no need for it. An 80D will do for most people in that range. The 7DmkII is more for sport and wildlife shooters at the high end. But for all I know that is you. What is it you had in mind?

      Which store?

CarePAK shouldn’t show up in cart as it’s something you register with Canon USA for.

The grip should show up though.
