We can now confirm that the free battery grip promotion on the EOS 5D Mark IV and EOS 6D Mark II will expire on Saturday, and will not be renewed by Canon USA. This has been a very popular promotion (a free battery grip valued at $309 or $209 respectively), and has been running for several months.
Also scheduled to expire on the same day is the free 13-month CarePAK PLUS promotion, and very generous instant rebates. We don’t know if these will be extended by Canon USA.

I have zero inside info, but I am reasonably confident Canon will extend this offer or roll out a Pixma printer bundle deal that nets an even better price on 5d4 and 6d2. They have to keep pushing down the price to complete with Sony and make room in their lineup for the FF milc.

My guess would be black friday will be the next time we see deals roll out. It seems to be the norm that late summer/early fall the deals dry up due to wanting to make those end of year deals look better. Maybe some refurbished sales but not much else.
Exactly. August is always a dry month for deals, then it ramps back up in September/October with the peak deals happening in November for Black Friday.
You are not 100% correct, but very close. For $20 extra, you get the 5D IV, grip plus printer as advertised on Aug 1. With Sony a7III and the announcement of the mirrorless from Nikon, sellers have to get rid of their inventories ASAP, I would.
