Expiring This Weekend: 5D Mark IV $2849 AR, 6D Mark II $1349 AR

We’re told that these will be the LAST DAYS for the super-hot deals from Adorama and B&H Photo Video. They have hot bundles of the 6D Mark II for $1349 AR and of the 5D Mark IV for $2849 AR, after the $350 Canon USA mail-in rebate. Both stores are offering the same bundle — they’re giving a SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Memory Card and an extra battery on top of the free Canon battery grip (BG-E21 Battery Grip for EOS 6D Mark II or BG-E20 Battery Grip for EOS 5D Mark IV), PIXMA PRO-100, and photo paper. A free 13-month Canon CarePAK PLUS extended warranty is also included.

These deals will be gone for good after this weekend, don’t miss out! The 6D Mark II bundles at B&H have already disappeared.

I bought the deal from Adorama on the 19th of November and the invoice didn’t show the extra Grip or SD card. My shipment arrived without either of them. I have emailed their customers service and it’s been 3 days with no reply yet.

Your post assured that it would ship with the freebies even though the invoice doesn’t show. Can I be enlightened on this matter?

When I ordered 6D2 Adorama wasn’t offering the 64gb SanDisk SD card. I later emailed and a loser responded back saying he will get the SD card shipped my way on 11/22. Nothing until yesterday (11/30). I made a call to customer support last (11/30) evening and I was promised they would ship a SD card to me. Today I received an email with shipping information. Sounds like they have an issue with the email support. Try calling them

I also sent an follow up email on 11/28. There was no response. I meant to say “It sounds like they have some issues with their email support”

I am so sorry that you didn’t receive a speedy response; I can promise you it isn’t that we don’t care, simply that the CS Team are completely overwhelmed with post Black Friday calls etc.
An explanation not an excuse – we took on a number of ‘seasonal staff’ but inevitably they aren’t as fast as our regular team.

Please take a note of my contact details and you are always most welcome to reach out directly to me: Helen@adorama.com

My Adorama 6DII Bundle was shipped in several different packages via UPS and USPS. I just went to UPS to pick up the package containing the camera body, extra battery and the photo paper. I can’t imagine a worse packing job. The box was totally beat up, there was virtually no packing material inside the box so it was no doubt a rough ride for the camera during the shipment. I hope the camera works. Geez… Not a great first impression of Adorama!

Earlier November, I ordered two Canon ‘L’ lens from Adorama and the lens came with very little packaging material. When I contacted Adorama about the poor packaging, the person who responded my call forwarded my request to the shipping department and after that nothing heard from anyone. Very disappointed with the customer service and people working in the shipping department in Adorama! Next time, I will try to avoid buying expensive stuff from Adorama.

I order quite a bit from both Adorama and B&H. I have to agree, that generally speaking, Adorama’s packaging is not what it should be: flimsy exterior box that are either too large or too small for it’s contents, very little packing material, boxes etc. B&H, on the other hand, uses sturdier boxes of the correct size, and ample packaging material.

Good to know. I’ve always ordered from B&H. Now I’m wishing B&H had beaten Adorama to the punch with these bundle deals. I doubt I’ll buy expensive gear from Adorama again if they don’t feel it’s necessary to pack it with more care.

Same thing happened a while back. The box was very big and the items were not cushioned well; I could imagine they were bounced around on the way. Fortunately, nothing was broken…..

      3. December 4, 2017 at 11:14 am EDT

Very concerned to see this – can you please email me directly with your order # and I will follow up.

        Best wishes

      Thanks for expressing your concerns.

I’ve let Helen Oster know about this. She’s Adorama’s Customer Service Ambassador, and she’s fantastic! Hopefully she will reply to your comments and help resolve the issues.

      1. December 2, 2017 at 1:27 am EDT

I have the same experience as Donna. I received my 6DII, grip, Battery, SD card and paper yesterday. It was big box with very few air pillows. Camera could move almost 12 inches in one direction and 6 inches in other direction. I have already emailed them about this. Also my printer which was shipped on 24th has not left NJ yet. I wish I ordered from B&H rather than Adorama.

        1. December 4, 2017 at 11:11 am EDT

I’m so sorry, Rajesh – can you please email me some images of the packaging along with your order number?

While I cannot confirm with 100% certainty without sight of your account, please be aware that we filled all open in-stock orders last Thursday and Friday, and all packages were put on the UPS trailers in our loading bay –
which were all taken away by UPS drivers.

We are aware that due to sheer weight of orders, not only Adorama but a number of other retailers with Distribution Centres in NJ (and I’d guess throughout the US) have been discovering that many of the trailers didn’t make it out of the UPS hubs or even go through scanning and sorting. When this happens, it will of course appear that items didn’t ship out from us, when in actual fact they did.

I know that some of our disappointed customers have contacted UPS to complain about the status of their orders, only to be advised that we didn’t hand them over to UPS……because that is exactly how it will appear on the screen to the ‘phone operator if packages haven’t been scanned at the hub. It isn’t their fault; UPS is HUGE!! But unlike UPS, if I need complete clarity I can get on a call to someone in our DC and get a definitive answer.

If I haven’t sent you to sleep, Rajesh…….. can you email me with your details? I very much look forward to hearing from you.

Deeply concerned to see this, Donna; I can promise you that when your package left the Adorama Distribution Center it will have been in a brand new box which should have been able to withstand the most careless UPS delivery driver.

If your package had any clear tape around it, it is a sure indication that your package came open and was resealed by UPS – and it’s entirely possible that packaging material escaped.

All that being said, can you please email me with your order #: Helen@adorama.com. If you have any images of the damage that would be even better. And do let me know if you have concerns about the contents.

We will be collating all package damage reports and presenting them to UPS in the New Year, so your assistance is valuable.

Please accept my apologies for the disappointment you must have felt when you received your package, and I very much look forward to hearing from you.

      Best wishes

      Helen

No bundles without printers? Would they consider subs?

    1. December 1, 2017 at 10:31 pm EDT

While I can’t answer that, I can say the 350 dollar rebate is for the printer. So no printer, the price goes up 350 bucks.

      December 1, 2017 at 10:35 pm EDT

We have street prices for the 5D Mark IV and the 6D Mark II that include the battery grip, but do not include the printer and thus do not require a mail-in rebate. Please inquire via the street price form…

  7. December 2, 2017 at 1:20 pm EDT

I hope CPW will let us know when the Flashpoint XPLOR 600 hits the $399 mark again, that was truly an amazing deal.

  8. December 3, 2017 at 12:39 pm EDT

Adorama I see is bundling that “Green Extreme” battery instead of the OEM Canon. Are they any good ?… never heard of that brand.

    1. December 3, 2017 at 8:24 pm EDT

I’ve heard they’re decent, as far as 3rd party batteries go.

    2. December 4, 2017 at 8:49 am EDT

If this refers to the additional battery, then please email me: Helen@adorama.com with your order # and I can have that upgraded to a Canon for you. However, we are currently out of stock (ETA approx 2 weeks) so we’d need to ship that 2nd battery separately)

      Best wishes

    Hi Helen,

It seems like the bundle decided to change prices mid-day even though I had it in my cart and just went to process it.

Spoke to chat support and they can’t fix the pricing on their end, just provide product knowledge.

I hope I can get this resolved since I sold my Canon 6D…

    Thanks,

    JP
