BuyDig: Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 for $1049

BuyDig is discounting the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 — it’s now only $1049.00, when you apply coupon code “HOLIDAY150”. You see the discounted price at checkout, on the last page (before you confirm your order.) This is the first major discount for this lens, which regularly goes for $1199.

This is the “G2” version of the lens, that was very recently released (in August). This is a very affordable alternative to the 24-70 II — and it has optical image stabilization!

Damn, the hits keep coming. I noticed the code is good for items over $1195. Tempted to get the Tamron 15-30 2.8 this way…

Oopse, just delete my comment. It said the coupon applied in the cart, but it said invalid in the confirmation page. Oh well.

I have purchased camera equipment from BuyDig/Beach Camera for several years. They are legit and have given great service.

Same here. I think I’ve purchased 4 lenses from BuyDig over the years.

Prior to the Canon MAP enforcement, they ran fantastic deals all the time. Not so much since then. But when they do, they are usually stellar. They usually sell out quickly, so don’t sit on this too long of you’re on the fence at all.

Curious if this version has corrected the focusing issues the previous versions had in servo mode.
