They are, however, a reputable dealer with strong positive feedback (99.8%) and good reviews from our readers in the last couple of years. The seller provides the warranty for these items. Please also note their return policy is strict, with a restock fee if the item is not defective, so be absolutely certain before you place your order.

As soon as you see ‘Unauthorized’ I would steer clear. I have one and it is pretty sweet but I got it from B&H

Will Canon support add Canon Log to a grey market body?

    1. September 25, 2017 at 8:04 am EDT

      That’s a great question.

Yes the will add the log. Called Canon and they said they would do to any model. The reason is you are paying them the $100 + tax plus shipping. They even do repair. What is that they dont offer, it the warranty

Wish the EOS 1 DX would drop to sub $2500 prices so I can snag one brand new.

Nice deal. I bought the 5D4 with 24-105/4 L IS II kit for $3785 a few months ago.

has anyone bought from them before?

Many readers have in the last few months. No one has reported any transaction issues, it has all gone smoothly. The only one complaint we had regards their return policy (when non-defective). Make sure you want it before you buy it.

    No wifi. No warranty.

I’m pretty sure that the grey market 5D IV has Wi-Fi and GPS.

    2. September 26, 2017 at 7:47 am EDT

It has WiFi. Warranty is provided by the seller. Canon USA has historically repaired grey market bodies, but this is at their discretion and not a hard policy.

It has WIFI? I thought that was the norm on grey market cameras, not having it. Are you sure?

    4. September 26, 2017 at 5:04 pm EDT

It does have WiFi. The *ebay seller* offers a 1 year warranty and an extended warranty for $200. I know, I just bought one from them.

Canon will service any market camera if you pay. I also have already had a grey market camera serviced by CPS.

Great to know. The reason I was on the fence is because a store in New York had a low price on one of them so I asked, “was it a gray market what’s the reason for the low price” he said yes it’s gray market and it doesn’t have Wi-Fi. So I assumed all graymarket Canons didn’t have Wi-Fi

  11. September 25, 2017 at 10:23 pm EDT

If you are looking for new Canon equipment use this service! I saved over $300 on a new 5D3 body and from a retailer you all know.

Just received mine today. Super fast shipping. It is UK version, charger comes with a UK power plug. No warranty card. I am happy to saved $400.

If Canon USA would continue to service this model (gray market), it’s an excellent deal if you want a solid performer for still photos. This is Canon’s best DR performer 2nd to none in the Canon world!

Got one. As mentioned above I got a UK charger. Did not get the warranty card. Otherwise looks like everything is there. I wish it was better packed when shipped. But it was overnight so no issues. There is 30 day full warranty and 1 years parts only warranty. They recommend a MACK warranty. Its like the manufacturer warranty for $199 additional with some freebies. The good thing is that they talk to you if you call. Am using them for the first time.
