We continue to have an excellent a street price pre-order special on the EOS M5. All pre-orders will come with a free Canon EF-M Lens Adapter (note — no tripod adapter is included with the bundled adapter.) This is brand new from a Canon authorized dealer, free shipping (expected end of November). We also have the EOS M5 with EF-M 15-45mm IS STM Kit for $1039 and the EOS M5 with EF-M 18-150mm IS STM Kit for $1299 (most popular). Both also include the free adapter.
Our most popular street price continues to be the EOS 5D Mark IV for $3199, from a Canon authorized dealer with 1-year Canon USA warranty. Many readers have asked if we expect a price drop during the upcoming holiday season on this recently released camera. We don’t think so — historically we haven’t seen discounts or rebates so early on a released product, and the camera is already selling quite well. But of course, in the end it’s all up to Canon USA!
I do not think most people will buy EOS M5 at this price, also 5D4; Canon won’t sell well if they do not bring the price down significantly.
The Mark 5D IV needs to come down to the $ 2500-2700 range to be competitive with the D810, at the current selling price, it is way over-priced.
I agree the 5D4 needs to come down but you’ve illustrated faulty logic comparing a newly released Canon camera to a 2 year Nikon old camera in price.
Not enthused about a mega pricey crop sensor M…but want a 70D.
I’m selling my 1d mark iv for the new 5d mark iv.
Can’t wait.
