Restock: EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II for $1679 Refurb, or $1799 New

The Canon Direct Store just restocked 20+ copies of the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II refurbished for $1679.20. Free shipping. This is a very popular refurbished lens that is rarely in-stock at the Canon Direct Store.

Unfortunately, the 10%-off lenses sale just expired on Sunday. As the Canon Direct Store does collect tax to all states, you may also want to consider the street price of $1799 brand new from a Canon USA authorized dealer. It would include both the 1-year Canon USA warranty and the special 13-month accidental damage extended warranty.

Not the bestest of deals I have seen on this lens, but if you are ready to pull the trigger like I was it is close enough!

I have the 80-200 2.8 mother for 200.00 from Japan in solid condition. Its sharpness if equal to the one above.

I have been waiting for a deal on this lens for months. Hoping for Canon to rebate this Spring. Bets anyone? 🙂

The lens is already on rebate (it’s the December holiday rebate that has not yet expired.) Not sure if it’s going to increase further…
