Super Hot Imports: 5D Mark III for $1949, 6D for $1099, 7D2 for $1399

These hot deals got even better with a $50 coupon code:

BigValueInc via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $1949.00. Enter coupon code “CLC10OFF” at checkout for an additional $50 off. This is the new lowest price seen yet on the 5D Mark III.

This coupon code also works on the EOS 6D from BigValueInc ($1099), the EOS 7D Mark II from GetItDigital ($1399), and the EOS 70D from BigValueInc ($699). Hot deals, all at lowest-seen-yet prices!

The coupon code expires today. The frenzy deals may expire soon (they’ve been running since Monday). Readers who ordered the 5D Mark III earlier in the sale have already reported receiving brand new bodies with 0-shutter counts (see comments on previous posts).

These are likely an import or grey market body, you can read more about this at our FAQ. BigValueInc via eBay is not an authorized dealer. A Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed (the store provides a warranty instead). Historically Canon USA has provided warranty service on grey market bodies anyway β€” but this is at the discretion of Canon USA, and can change at any time.

This retailer has been a reliable eBay seller based on eBay feedback and reader feedback. No readers have noted up-sell calls from BigValueInc, but GetItDigital is known to upsell.

Awesome prices for these cameras! One can get a new camera cheaper than a used one with these prices.

    5DMIII PLEASE!!! ☺️

  3. February 27, 2015 at 1:42 pm EDT

Why no grey market body, the only advantage to buying a usa body is a one year warranty

  4. February 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm EDT

I have a grey market body and it’s exactly the same. Plus it came with a one year warranty from the seller. Canon USA has a history of servicing grey market bodies anyway, regardless of the market the were intended to be used in.

Have you read the reviews of this company get it digital they are awful….

  7. February 27, 2015 at 2:19 pm EDT

Gray market products are NOT serviced by Nikon or Canon also you CANNOT update firmware either, learned it hard way. Gray market has no factory warranty period, and marketed by New york mafia families . NY AG has put few out out of business and they crop up as one gets shut down.

    1. February 27, 2015 at 2:25 pm EDT

This is incorrect. Grey market bodies can have their firmware upgraded, and they will be serviced by Canon USA. Also, Canon USA has historically provided free warranty service (but this is at their discretion and can change at any time.) If you purchase from a grey market dealer via eBay you won’t be subject to bait & switch as eBay buyer protection looks after you.

This company has sold 1929 cameras of late (5DMkIII, 6D, 7DMkII and the 70D). Has CPW had any problems with this company? 99% rating on Ebay plus the Ebay protection. I’ll be grabbing a MkIII before long.

I have not heard any reader complaints. They are a tiny bit slow in shipping out (a day or two delay, likely due to volume), and readers report brand new zero-shutter-actuation bodies.

Firmware is my big concern with going grey market and people confirm that firmware can indeed be updated on grey market bodies? thanks

Extra $50 off only works with Paypal not credit card at least on the 70D

Grey market? Pfft. No f-ing way

Yeah, why would anyone want to save hundreds of their hard-earned money on cameras that are virtually identical to their US counterparts? What’s even worse is, in the unlikely event that something should go wrong, Canon will likely still honor their one year warranty on these grey market bodies. TOTAL deal breaker if you ask me!

I placed an order with BVI for a 70D + 18-135 on Feb 27th…ion initial confirmation mail said it would be delivered by Mar 6th… but the UPS tracking showed nothing even on Mar 5th. Contacted the seller thru ebay and got a response saying a winter storm is delaying shipments and I cud expect an update soon. Today is 8th and nothing so far… and no fresh notification abt shipment or delivery. Getting a bit worried… wondering if others had a similar experience

Still no movement… sent them another e-mail and got a standard template response “there is a delay in our warehouse, blah blah…” and that he is throwing in a memory card as freebie to appreciate my patience! Wearing thin at the moment. Will pull the trigger on a refund if I don’t see concrete delivery information in 2 days πŸ™

I’m in a similar situation with the Canon 70D. They said it would arrive before or on March 9th, but it’s been stuck at “Order processed: Ready for UPS” for over a week now. I called and after waiting a while, they threw in the free memory card and said it would arrive before Saturday. Who knows if they will keep their word though.

“Thank you for your email. Your order has shipped and is currently in transit. It will deliver to you soon, please check with the courier for your delivery date.”

i got a message above form bigvalueinc
i dont know why they wait(spend) 8 business day without any notification
anyway i can not trust this company

Well looks like they pulled through as I got mine yesterday, although it was poorly packaged and the camera box could rattle around a bit. Everything seems to be good with the camera itself though, so seems worth it so far.

The 6D import wont have wifi. I assume everyone realizes that.

      February 27, 2015 at 7:01 pm EDT

Just curious, are you speaking based on personal experience (where you actually bought an import 6D from BVI and it didn’t come with wifi) or are you just assuming it won’t come with wifi because it’s an import? The description of the 6D on BVI’s eBay page says that it has wifi.

        February 27, 2015 at 8:19 pm EDT

All my readers have reported that the 6D from BVI/GID have come with WiFi and GPS, as they are (WG) models and not (N) models. There are two classes of import 6Ds.

More interested in what Sony is up to…innovating WAY more other than just increasing pixels.
