Canon Refurb Store — 15% Off Lenses Restocked at 11 AM ET

The Canon Direct Store sale on refurbished lenses just restocked. They’re offering 15% off. See above for the most desirable items. See the refurbished stock tracker for all items in stock.

Many readers bought the item they wanted by setting an e-mail notification on a specific item, and they were notified within minutes when the restock happened at 11:00 AM ET. You can check out our e-mail notification system, which e-mails you the instant an item is in-stock below your target price (you can choose either brand new, or used/refurbished). We put together a new notification management page where you can see all your active notifications (and manage them from one convenient page).

It’s important to set notifications on specific items as these happen automatically when the restock happens. If you’re only notified on main-page blog posts, there is a slight delay as we have to create the blog post first — we’re fast, but as you can see it still takes a good ten minutes (after which the bulk of the desirable lenses are gone).

If you purchase something through a link on our site, we may get a small share of the sale (at no cost to you). Please read our disclosure for more info.

With tax the price for the 70-200 f4 IS is more than your Street Price of $930

Sorry, the Street Price is $989, not $930

It was $929, but went up after that retailer sold out. Prices are always changing!

Finally picked up a 100L macro. Forgot to use my $30 promo credit though 🙁 Will phone support be able to apply the credit if I call?

Some lucky soul just picked up my 100mm f/2.8L after phone support thought it was a good idea to cancel the order and start a new one to apply the promo code. 🙁

Was anyone able to successfully apply their $30 eCash code to their order? The site wouldn’t accept my code when I placed my order, so I’m wondering if they won’t combine it with the 15% discount.

Thanks CPW, the canon refurb route is the best buy for this lens with the 15% discount.

I feel bad with my decision to buy 70-200 f2.8 IS II on last promotion ($100 off $1000 or more). It is 1895 after tax, and now with 15% off this is $1720 after tax :(.

If you’re in your return period, call and ask for a price adjustment.

Some great deals there, too bad they don’t ship to or even accept orders from Canada.

  9. December 10, 2014 at 12:57 pm EDT

    I think, now is the.time 🙂

You guys rock! I set up an alert and was able to grab a 50mm f1.4 for 260 by using the ecash.

Has anyone been able to get the $30 e-cash code since CPW posted this? I’ve seen multiple people posts from people waiting weeks with nothing from Canon. I myself submitted on 11/23, and am now on Week 3, with not even a confirmation e-mail.

My guess is that Canon discovered (and fixed) the bug in this promotion which allowed users to get the e-cash without actually posting the images.

    I was able to buy a 50mm 1.4 for $271.99. Thanks CPW

  14. December 15, 2014 at 1:15 pm EDT

This is easily the worst, most useless refurb sale ever. They have had nothing in stock the entire sale…What has a guy gotta do to get a few refurb’ed 600 Ex RT’s….
