Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 VC In-Stock (Rare) for $1069 (Live Again)

UPDATE: BuyDig is out of stock, but Cameta Camera now has stock for the same price. Cameta only collects tax within NY. Free shipping.

If spending $2199 on the new 100-400mm II doesn’t appeal to you, consider the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD. BuyDig has a very limited quantity in-stock $1069.00.

This very popular lens has been on low allocation and has been effectively sold out everywhere since its first offering almost one year ago. For good reason too: the lens reviews very well and is at a price point that is more than accessible to most.

BuyDig is an authorized Tamron dealer, and only collects tax to NJ. Free shipping.

Finally. I’m glad I held off and knew they would surface before the Holidays.

I was going to hold off until black Friday but saw their return policy is pretty lenient right now so went ahead and ordered. Really looking forward to trying this out!

Also, it’s really hard to see this lens being discounted when nobody has it in-stock. 🙂

Just curious… Has it not been the same price for sometime now? At adorama and B&H they are still $1069 and in stock. What am I missing?

      At Adorama & B&H they are out-of-stock, and back-ordered.

Gotcha! At some point I was able to add it to cart without realizing the smallest font print saying it is back ordered. Just saw that! Thanks for clarifying! 🙂

Our photographer’s co-op enjoys CPW immensely but please be careful endorsing Beach Camera / Buydig. They attempted to defraud myself and a number of our members with a similar sale for the very same lens on Ebay and Amazon in September. They were one of the few retailers offering stock of this Tamron lens . When I received no tracking information after almost a week, I contacted them through Ebay and was told, much to my surprise, that they were out of stock but would I like to wait 3 to 4 days to receive the lens. When I called Beach Camera directly, an employee who seemed to be unaware of the Ebay sales was surprised because they were only taking preorders for the lens since it had been out of stock for some time. Naturally, the next course of action was a call to my credit card company and insistence on an immediate refund since their operation was closing for many days for the Autumn High Holidays the very next day. Some of our other members had more trouble resolving the charges.

CPW has done us right many times and our group has come to reason that unauthorized does not necessarily mean dishonorable. Likewise, just because a dealer is authorized does not mean they aren’t shady.

Thanks for the info. Beach Camera / BuyDig has been reliable, and this is the first complaint I’ve heard since we started listing them in 2010.

I’d interpret this not as “fraud” but perhaps miscommunication within the company, where the eBay department was not aware that the lens was on back order. It is unfortunate that this happened to you though, and the difficulty in getting it resolved was worrisome.

But let’s see what happened with the other CPW readers who have placed their order just now — if they do have inventory and are shipping it, or if this is another one of these issues.
