Wow, too bad there are only 2 70-200s left 🙁

    1. March 22, 2014 at 9:51 pm EDT

There were 4 earlier today. Can you say frenzy? I think they will last about 40 seconds. 🙂

  2. March 22, 2014 at 9:58 pm EDT

    Yeah, I’m not that quick!

No 85L? I guess I just have to settle for the 135L.

Are these the discounted prices or is there a further 20% off on these

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      March 22, 2014 at 10:27 pm EDT

We are showing the discounted prices; the Canon site will show them after midnight.

      1. March 23, 2014 at 12:11 am EDT

It seems they INCREASED the price of the 7D then offered the 20%. The camera was actually cheaper BEFORE the sale!

There was a 30% off refurbished bodies sale before this 20% off bodies/lenses/flashes sale.

I was disappointed I bought the tamron 70-200 until I saw there were only two left

  7. March 22, 2014 at 10:33 pm EDT

Well with only 2 available, I guess they are saving me from myself!

  8. March 22, 2014 at 10:35 pm EDT

There’s not a lot of stock at the beginning of the sale, but this seems to be Canon’s new way of being “fair” on refurbished sales, rather than have a massive feeding frenzy at their sale start time (which is regularly Sunday at midnight ET).

The last few sales we saw stock magically show up in the middle of the week — Monday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon, if I recall correctly. About 5-30 of most of the popular lenses, and they would sell out within an hour.

My recommendation would be to set a notification on the specific items you are interested in, and play the roulette game to see if you can land it when it restocks.

    Do we need a code?

when I check out the 70-200 IS II , it did not give me 20% off…

The sale hasn’t started yet. As the post says, try again at midnight Eastern Time.

    March 23, 2014 at 12:06 am EDT

It doesn’t get added to cart. Some bug? Shows in stock, but doesn’t get added to the cart!

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      March 23, 2014 at 12:06 am EDT

That means it’s already gone — it lasted about 60 seconds…

      1. Deep
        March 23, 2014 at 12:12 am EDT

It still shows in stock. And I added it within the first 60 seconds I think. Well, whatever. Tough luck!

    March 23, 2014 at 12:10 am EDT

less than 60 secs. i seemed to add one of the 70-200 IS ii to my cart but then it did not allow me to checkout. Still shows as in my cart. disappointment…wonder if a screen shot would help me with a Canon Customer Service rep…

    March 23, 2014 at 12:16 am EDT

This was completely frustrating…. I think there’s a bug with the site. The 135L was supposed to be in stock and it let me add to the cart only to take it out at checkout. I was trying this every 30 seconds and on multiple windows.

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      March 23, 2014 at 12:34 am EDT

I think the 135L is bugged.

    2. March 24, 2014 at 4:00 am EDT

Yup, same here. No same situation even now. Have shot off an email to customer support. God knows if they will take a look at it. 🙂

  16. March 23, 2014 at 12:32 am EDT

Just curious, is your stock tracker real time? It says there are 3 14mm primes in stock but the lens isn’t listed on Canon’s site. However, if I use your link the lens shows up and I can add it to my cart, but when I go to check out it says my cart is empty. Same thing with the 135mm f2.

    1. March 23, 2014 at 9:19 am EDT

The tracker is real time. The 135L and 14L appear to be two lenses that are broken on their site, in that the listing is still there but it is inactive and doesn’t let you check out.

  17. March 23, 2014 at 12:34 am EDT

No Gramoz Ramadani, Chad Holt, Rob Lynn, Joey Ulrich, Yuriy Belenitsky, Tiffany Berardinelli, Laura Bossi, and I know I’m missing a few…you can’t have all of these!

    1. March 23, 2014 at 12:35 am EDT

Wow, if I hadn’t totally just bought myself the Canon 10-22 wide angle (which I am in love with)…but alas, that is my one allowable camera purchase of the year, haha.

    2. March 23, 2014 at 7:33 am EDT

oh boy!!! bummer i was asleep!!

  18. March 23, 2014 at 12:41 am EDT

Damn…I would like to pick up the 24-70ii.

  19. March 23, 2014 at 7:48 am EDT

Just don’t understand the “feeding frenzy” on these refurb “sales”. Canon is making a killing on a “used” item and everybody is foaming at the mouth over saving a couple hundred bucks over brand new. o.O

    1. March 23, 2014 at 9:18 am EDT

They come with a full 1-year Canon warranty, just like new, and most of them are pretty close to brand new. The speculation is most are store returns.

    2. March 23, 2014 at 9:20 am EDT

And they come in cheaper than most used lenses on a secondary market. But you still get the warranty! How can you not like that? 🙂

  20. March 23, 2014 at 10:38 am EDT

Too bad everything good is sold out. Wth

Refurb bashers are akin to brand fanatics. I have had 3 refurb bodies, all with under 100 clicks and 6 lenses all perfect with many not needing any AFMA

  22. March 23, 2014 at 12:08 pm EDT

No Canon 5D Mark III 🙁

      March 23, 2014 at 11:20 pm EDT

Yeah — that one lasted longer than expected, to be honest. I expected it to go in an hour, they only had 44 in-stock.

    March 24, 2014 at 8:09 am EDT

Well, glitch or no glitch, I called them up first thing this AM and no 135L in stock. Sad how CPW’s tracker is more accurate than Canon, haha.

      March 24, 2014 at 8:33 am EDT

Someone should point them to that page on their site and ask them why they still show it “in stock”…

  29. March 24, 2014 at 8:41 am EDT

of course no 70-200 2.8 is

A *huge* YMMV but I think I found a way to still complete checkout on the 135L and 14L, or any other “hidden” item. I just tested it up to the last checkout page but since I’m not interested in buying them I didn’t complete.

If you’re interested please contact me.

I expect response to be overwhelming and there’s only 3 and 4 of these so I will do this first-come first-serve.

Again, huge YMMV as they can cancel your order…
