Amazon is now listing the Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z and taking preorders (at $2999.00). Their site says “This item will be released on March 28, 2024” — hopefully that is not accurate, as it would be quite the delay…
B&H Photo Video is showing an expected ship date of December 14th for the RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM ($1899.00) and the RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z ($2999.00). We’re not sure if this applies to all pre-orders of the lens, or just the first pre-orders they’ve received. Demand for these lenses is high!

Three new lenses, including the well-awaited RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z and RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM were announced by Canon USA. The lenses are expected to start shipping on December 14th (for the two RF lenses), and on December 4th (for the RF-S lens). The lenses are currently available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama and the Canon Store.
The “Z” in the RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z indicates its compatibility with the Power Zoom Adapter (sold separately — starting at $999).
