We’ll warn that two months ago, BigValueInc via eBay massively oversold on several great eBay deals. As a result, many readers were subjected to delays in receiving their camera bodies (with poor communication from the dealer). It looks like they have recovered from this incident, and we’d welcome any readers to comment on their experience. Other than this incident, they have been a reliable eBay dealer over the last several years.

We have three excellent street price specials this week, they are from authorized Canon dealers with a 1-year Canon USA warranty, not affected by the Passover closings.

The EOS 7D Mark II is now $1469 — this is a $30 drop since last week, and the lowest street price we’ve had yet.

The EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is $559 — this is a fantastic deal; many other sites are advertising a deal at $600+ grey market without Canon USA warranty!

Finally, we have very limited quantity of the EF 11-24mm f/4L USM for $2799 — this is a recently released lens and this price is $200 below other authorized dealers.

We have received many questions from readers, “how late can I place a street price order and take advantage of the mail-in or instant rebates?”

There are currently two Canon rebate programs running, one is a Canon mail-in rebate on brand new lenses, and the other is an instant rebate on bodies (5D Mark III, 7D Mark II, 6D). They are both scheduled to expire on March 28th (unless they’re renewed or extended by Canon.)

We recommend that the street price order be confirmed (e.g. replying to our response and confirming that you’d like to order) no later than Friday at Noon ET to ensure you can order during the rebate period. This is because the rebate rules require you to make your purchase on or before Saturday, March 28th. However, many camera stores do close on Saturdays and close early on Fridays. Also, during working hours, it can take an hour or two to get you through the street price process.

The lens mail-in rebate does not need to be mailed to Canon until April 28th, so you can receive your package next week and still participate in the rebate.
