One of our street price retailers has dropped their price on the EOS 6D body-only to $1449 after a $200 Canon mail-in rebate (you pay $1649 before rebate). It’s brand new, there’s one caveat, but if you are interested (only serious inquiries please) you can contact us for assistance in obtaining this price, and we’ll explain.

The current $200 mail-in rebate on the 5D Mark III and the 6D expire on Saturday. We think they might be extended but do not have a solid confirmation at this time. UPDATE: We have now heard from a few sources that they will not be extended. We currently have the following street prices from authorized dealers:

Today’s eBay Daily Deal is from Get It Digital via eBay. They have the Canon EOS 6D for $1399.99. Note they’re not an authorized dealer, but are a reputable unauthorized dealer. They also clearly note that this is an import model; a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed, so the store is providing a three-year store warranty.

If you’re not interested in import model / grey market, you can also consider the street price of $1499 after rebate (US model, US warranty) from an authorized dealer. BuyDig also has this price after-rebate as part of a PIXMA PRO-100 printer bundle.

eBay Daily Deal: 6th Ave via eBay has the Canon EOS 6D for $1399.99. This is the lowest price we’ve seen body only for a brand new EOS 6D in the last 6 months.

Please note that 6ave is not an authorized dealer. They are an unauthorized dealer, and the listing clearly indicates that this may be an import body. Import bodies are physically identical, the only difference is a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed; the store provides a one-year store warranty. We haven’t heard any recent reader complaints about this retailer, they have a 99.2% positive feedback rating. You also get the usual eBay, PayPal, and credit card buyer protection.

If the idea of a grey market / import body doesn’t appeal to you, we also now have a price drop on the Canon EOS 6D Street Price to $1499 after $200 mail-in rebate from an authorized dealer. Compare with $1699 (after same rebate) from other authorized dealers.

The Canon Direct Store has sold half their inventory of Refurbished EOS 6D for $1291.32 (15% off). These come with a full one-year Canon warranty. At this rate, we expect them to be sold out within a couple days.

Unfortunately for most, the Canon Direct Store charges sales tax. Instead you can opt to get a 6D brand new from a reputable authorized dealer for $1539, free shipping and no tax collected for most states. Full Canon USA warranty. These are great deals, at a lower price than all the other authorized dealers ($1699), and even lower than the lowest unauthorized dealer ($1568)!
