Street Price Special: EOS 6D + 24-105mm for $2029 AR

Another street price special! The EOS 6D + 24-105mm Kit is $2029 after-rebate, for a short time. Brand new US model, US warranty from an authorized Canon dealer. The price is $2229, then you do a $200 mail-in rebate for a final price of $2029.

We are expecting this to run until Thursday evening.

Compare with other authorized dealers at $2299 after the mail-in rebate ($2499 pre-rebate). The street price is $270 less.

Fill out the street price form on the EOS 6D + 24-105mm Kit page for more details, or read our Street Price FAQ.

Double Dip Opportunity? 40mm Pancake for $99 AR, 50mm and EOS 6D

Last night, Canon moved from an instant-rebate to a mail-in rebate on certain items. Most retailers have adjusted their prices upwards to mark the ending of the instant rebate, but several eBay stores are a bit tardy in doing so.

UPDATE: As expected, some of the prices have been corrected. Some remain.

There’s a very brief window where you may be able to double-dip the rebate; as long as your invoice date is July 6th, 2014, you will be eligible for the mail-in rebate (on top of an instant rebate price). Yes, purchases at authorized dealers’ eBay stores are eligible for the rebate as the dealer will issue a normal receipt. These prices will likely be corrected later today. Find the rebate form here.

Street Price Drop: EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS for $2099

Our authorized dealer street price on the EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit dropped recently to $2099. This is $200 lower than the MAP price at all authorized dealers.

Because we know of several reputable and authorized Canon dealers willing to sell it at this price, we can guarantee no tax to any US state and free standard shipping with every order.

All items are brand new, unused, not refurbished, from a Canon authorized dealer with a full 1-year Canon USA warranty.

As usual, if you are seriously interested and need assistance in obtaining this price please contact us. Read more about this at our Street Prices FAQ.

The $200 instant rebate on the EOS 6D expires on July 5th. There are just over two weeks left to take advantage of these great street prices before the prices will go up!

eBay Frenzy: EOS 6D + 24-105mm for $1899 at BestStopDeals eBay

NEW UPDATE: Some of our readers have received this — they are reporting it’s brand new with Canon USA warranty cards in the box! Also, many people are calling today and they are now telling people it’s USA warranty card. (But don’t take our word for it; call and ask yourself: 1-877-254-6155.)

UPDATE: We have now had two reports of our readers receiving a brand new 6D+24-105mm but with no warranty card in the box.

BestStopDeals via eBay has the Canon EOS 6D with 24-105 Kit for $1899.99. This is part of the on-going eBay Deal Frenzy.

BestStopDeals is not an authorized dealer, but a quick call confirms that they are selling US model with Canon US warranty cards in this deal. (Call to confirm: 1-877-254-6155.) Free shipping is included, and they only charge sales tax to New Jersey.

They have 98.6% positive feedback, which is not as good as the top unauthorized dealers, but is still overwhelmingly positive. Compare with $2299 at authorized dealers.

It’s the same price as the BuyDig “Refurbished” deal but without the free Lightroom 5.

EOS 6D + 24-105 “Refurbished” for $1899 at BuyDig eBay, Free LR5

Authorized Canon dealer BuyDig via eBay has the “refurbished” Canon EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit for $1899.99. You also get a free copy of Lightroom 5!

We say “refurbished” because: they ran a similar sale last week via their other storefront Beach Camera via eBay, and several of our readers reported they received a new item!

They got a color box, with none of the usual signs of a refurbished body and lens (pinprick through the serial number, red dot on the lens mount). Now, who knows if the store will be doing the same in this sale. Expect refurbished (for which this price is already a great deal), but I wouldn’t be surprised if for some buyers it comes out a bit better than that!

Refurbished items come with a full 1-year Canon USA warranty. BuyDig only charges tax to NJ.

Update: Savvy reader Todd notices that the listing mentions the BuyDig # as CNEOS6DKT and the Canon part number as 8035B009, which correspond to the brand new kit in both cases! Canon manufacturer refurbished bodies are normally sold under a different BuyDig # and Canon part number.

(If you bought in the last sale, please comment with your experience and help other readers out!)

EOS 6D + 24-105mm Refurbished for $1899 at Beach Camera via eBay

Authorized Canon dealer Beach Camera via eBay has the refurbished Canon EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit for $1899.99. You also get a free copy of Lightroom 5!

They are an authorized dealer (also known as BuyDig) so this comes (like all refurbs) with a 1-year Canon USA warranty.

This is a good deal as it’s equivalent to buying a Canon EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit refurbished from the Canon Direct Store at 22% discount, and tax is only charged to NJ.

The last few days have had great Canon deals, including the 15%-off refurbished lens sale, and we expect more deals through the weekend — please stay tuned.

Best Buy Breaks MAP In-Cart on the EOS 6D, by $200

After two long weeks with zero changes in Canon prices at authorized dealers (not even “add-to-cart” discounts), a dealer has finally made a move: Best Buy lowered the price on the Canon EOS 6D by $200 in-cart to $1699.99, and similarly on the Canon EOS 6D with 24-105 Kit by $200 in-cart to $2299.99.

This is fantastic. Not because of the prices, but because it looks like finally there may be some push-back against a supposed strict MAP policy. Recall, we reported that stores were not advertising lower prices (not even in-cart) for fear of repercussions, such as not having their orders filled or their authorized dealer status revoked.

We are watching to see if other stores follow, or if Best Buy is forced to step back in line…

[Update: Best Buy prices shot back up today to MAP. Does not bode well… ]
