EOS 6D + 24-105mm Refurbished for $1899 at Beach Camera via eBay

Authorized Canon dealer Beach Camera via eBay has the refurbished Canon EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit for $1899.99. You also get a free copy of Lightroom 5!

They are an authorized dealer (also known as BuyDig) so this comes (like all refurbs) with a 1-year Canon USA warranty.

This is a good deal as it’s equivalent to buying a Canon EOS 6D + 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Kit refurbished from the Canon Direct Store at 22% discount, and tax is only charged to NJ.

The last few days have had great Canon deals, including the 15%-off refurbished lens sale, and we expect more deals through the weekend — please stay tuned.

I’ve been holding out on a 6D since missing the $1949 deal earlier this month for a new 6D + 24-105mm kit. Should I jump on this deal or should I hold out and go for new instead of refurb?

Tough call. With MAP, the street price for the 6D+24-105mm new is now about $2180, so the difference is $280.

I don’t know how long MAP will last; I think it has to go before we see the great deals again.

        How are Canon refurbs?

On lenses, they are great, and look indistinguishable from new.

On bodies I think it can vary. You can get ones with less than 20 shutter clicks, you can get one with hundreds, or even a couple thousand.

The way to decide is: if it’s the same price as used or even lower, it’s a no-brainer as you get the 1-year warranty.

I am having the same issue. I can’t decide to get this or wait a bit longer.

    I just ordered. Why?

    1. I have been out to get a 6D for a while now.
    2. Canon refurbished store charges taxes!!!
    3. The deal includes a LR5 copy, which I wanted to get anyway. Worth a 100 dollars… !!!
    4. That makes around 1800 dollar (taking out the LR5 value, which could be even higher, buying retail…!) no tax
    5. Selling the lens for 600, gives me a refurbished 6D with one year Canon warranty for only 1200 dollar… !

Good deal, buy smart or wait until MAP goes away if you can wait for a 6D.

Wish, another deal for 70-300 L IS USM would come, though.

At least one person reported that the camera and lens they received was new and not refurbished: color box, no pinprick on the camera serial plate, no red dot on the lens mount flange!

Does anyone else have any news on their order?

The camera and lens I received was new and not refurbished! Maybe that was their way around the MAP? Or could it have been the remaining 6Ds that didn’t ship from the special they ran early in April?

Fantastic. Great deal. Probably a way around the MAP.
