Many body deals last weekend but no lens deals, let’s make one!

We’re pleased to announce a Cyber Monday street price special on the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM of $999.99 after the $100 mail-in rebate. This is $50 lower than our regular street price for this lens, and this price is only valid for the next 12 hours.

This ultra-wide angle zoom has been touted to be extraordinarily sharp in the corners, and is a great pair to a brand new full-frame body, if you picked one up recently.

We also have great street prices (but not specials) on other very popular lenses. We don’t expect any changes to the following prices today or this week.

The Canon 20%-off refurbished sale ended with no restock of highly-desired lenses — those lenses already sell out quickly at full refurbished price, so we’re not surprised that Canon did not restock them during the sale.

The street price on the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM is especially popular as this is the first time the lens has gone on rebate. Again, we’re not expecting to see the Canon Minimum Advertised Price policy broken this year, so we don’t expect to see lower prices publicly shown on retailer’s websites.

Canon Mail-in Rebate: 24-70 II for $1799 AR, 70-200 II for $1949 AR

It’s been two days since Canon started a mail-in rebate on 27 lenses. Thus far, the most popular street price lens deals in the new rebate have been the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II for $1949 AR and the 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM for $1799 AR.

The rebate also renewed the $200 mail-in rebate on the EOS 5D Mark III ($2699 AR) and the EOS 6D ($1439 AR).

Finally, one oddity: the rebate form shows an increased rebate this month, from $300 to $350, on the PIXMA PRO-100 Printer + Paper. This makes the printer $48 AR at B&H or Adorama — but perhaps we’ll see a price drop before the month is up?
