CanonPriceWatch’s Street Prices on Lenses are Back!

As we mentioned in our post about the Canon price drops, it would take a few days for the dust to settle on our new street prices. Now we have them, with a healthy drop across the board matching (more or less) the Canon price drop. Remember, the Canon mail-in rebate has already expired and no mail-in rebate is needed to get these prices.

In case you’re unfamiliar with our street price program: we help you find authorized dealers who are willing to sell items brand new with full Canon USA warranty at great prices. For more info read our FAQ or read user testimonials.

Below is a list of newly changed street prices. You can also see the full list of street prices.

B&H Named Digital Imaging Reporter’s 2014 E-tailer of the Year

It’s no surprise to us that B&H was recently named Digital Imaging Reporter’s 2014 E-tailer of the Year — B&H sets the bar with their top-notch customer service and competitive prices.

Almost every photographer knows of B&H by their fantastic online retail experience, but their in-store experience is award-worthy too. I recently visited B&H’s store in New York City and was fascinated by two things: first, how it easy it was to go and learn about or try any camera or lens you’d ever dream of; and second, how they sell so much more than just cameras. Photography is only half the store, with audio, video, computers, and other electronics filling up the rest. A highly recommended visit when you’re in town!

Canon Refurbished Store Restocked — Newly Lowered Prices

The Canon Refurb Store restocked just now — as mentioned they have new refurbished pricing as a result of the price drop over the weekend. There is also a Labour Day sale (ends today) where you can get an additional $50 off a refurbished purchase of $500 or more, included in the prices below.

eBay Frenzy: 5D Mark III (Import) $2569 from GetItDigital

Today’s eBay Frenzy deal is from Get It Digital via eBay. They have the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2569.99.

Get It Digital via eBay is not an authorized dealer. They are likely selling import model 5D Mark III, where a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed: instead the store is providing a store warranty. The store has a feedback score of 99.3% when looking at high-end Canon items.

In the last sale they sold hundreds at this price; most of the feedback was good, but there was one negative report, where a reader was shipped a damaged Canon box (camera seems okay). If you are willing to take a (small) risk, this is a great way to get a 5D Mark III at a great price. Or you can consider our street price of $2699 brand new from an authorized Canon USA dealer with full Canon USA warranty, which is only $130 more.

The other frenzy deal today is the EOS 70D with 18-135 IS STM Kit for $1099 from BigValueInc.

EOS 6D Street Price: $2039 with 24-105mm, $2199 with 24-70 f/4L IS

Thanks to the new mail-in rebate on EOS 6D and 5D Mark III we now have two additional great street prices from Canon USA authorized dealers.

The EOS 6D with 24-105mm f/4L IS is $2039.99 after the $200 mail-in rebate (you pay $2239.99 before rebate).

A more impressive deal is a bundle of the EOS 6D with 24-70mm f/4L IS for $2199.99 after a $450 mail-in rebate ($200 rebate on the EOS 6D and a $250 rebate for purchasing the 24-70mm f/4L IS bundled with the 6D). This is a great price as it’s only $700 on top of our already low body-only street price for this lens.

In addition to our body-only 5D Mark III street price of $2699 after rebate, we have a price on the 5D Mark III + 24-105mm: $3299 after rebate. These have been very popular with the new rebate!

All prices are brand new from Canon USA authorized dealers, have full 1-year Canon USA warranties and include free standard shipping and do not collect tax to most states — please contact us for details, or read more about street prices, or read testimonials from other readers. Lens street prices will be back soon.

Today only: the Canon Direct Store has the refurbished EOS SL1 + 18-55mm IS STM for only $394.99. This is an amazing price for this camera and lens; it goes for $599 new.

You see this price in-cart (look at the subtotal, an additional discount is applied).

Also, they have the refurbished EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II for only $85 (see cart for discount). This is another great deal as the cheapest new from authorized dealers we’ve ever seen was $139.

Combine both items in cart to get an additional $20 off! $459.99, an incredible deal.

Also, thanks to the recent price drop there was a drop in the refurbished price for popular lenses:

These are the new regular refurbished prices — imagine what it’ll be at the next 15%-off refurb lens sale! All three are out of stock right now but set a notification if you’d like to catch this in-stock.
