EF 35mm f/1.4L II Now In-Stock, Special Launch Street Price Available

B&H Photo Video is now showing that the recently announced Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II is in-stock for $1799.00. Due to their store closing it will ship out on Thursday morning. We expect initial quantities are very limited.

We also have a street price available on this lens, which offers a small discount from a Canon USA authorized dealer and free shipping. Because it’s still very early, we can’t publish the price, but you can inquire for more details. The street price deal is also available to ship on Thursday, and there’s very limited quantity available.

This lens was recently announced and features a new “BR Optics” feature that reduces chromatic aberration and an incredible MTF chart vs the old version. This continues their impressive trend of world-class lens redesigns — although they seem to come with a rather large price tag. The old version can be had for $1329, and a very popular Sigma Art for $779.

Hot: 5Ds for $2649, 5DsR for $3149 (Imports) GetItDigital via eBay

We’re now seeing some incredible price drops on both the EOS 5Ds R and the EOS 5Ds in the grey market:

Get It Digital via eBay has the Canon EOS 5Ds R for $3149.00 and the Canon EOS 5Ds for $2649.99. These are the lowest prices we’ve seen yet for these cameras. Compare with $3899 and $3699 at authorized dealers, respectively.

Get It Digital via eBay is not an authorized dealer and a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed. Canon USA has been known to provide warranty service to grey bodies — but only at their discretion. Also, please be aware of an upsell call — stay firm and decline all upgrades. If you prefer an authorized dealer, please consider our EOS 5DsR street price of $3249, with a 1-year Canon USA warranty and free shipping.

EOS + Printer Bundles (6D, 5D Mark III, 7D Mark II, 1D-X) Are Still Live

Adorama still has great EOS bundle deals, but not for much longer: the mail-in rebates and 1-year free Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan (with purchase of 7D Mark II, 6D, or 5D Mark III) expire on October 3rd. There are numerous store closings this week and next week, so please plan your purchase carefully.

We additionally have street price bundles available for the EOS 5D Mark III + 24-105L and EOS-1D X.

The Canon Direct Store does have the refurbished EOS 6D for $1099, but as they charge tax to all states, the Adorama bundle above is likely the better deal.

Canon Refurb Sale: 430EX II $169, 270EX II $89, EF 40mm $99

The Canon Direct Store started a sale on selected refurbished flashes, lenses, and bodies. See our refurbished stock tracker for the full list of items that are now discounted. The best deals are:

Live Again: Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 VC for $779 AR at BuyDig eBay

This hot deal is back: authorized Tamron dealer BuyDig via eBay has the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD for Canon for $779.00, after a $70 Tamron mail-in rebate. This is brand new with a 6-year Tamron USA warranty and free shipping. Both Canon and Nikon mounts are available.

Two weeks ago, this sold out in less than a day. No surprise, as this is the lowest price we’ve seen yet for this super-telephoto zoom lens. This lens used to be extremely popular even at its introductory $1069 price point. After the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary was released, this lens fell out of favor, but for only $779 it is most definitely worth it.

Amazon Lightning Deal: Samyang SY14M-C 14mm F2.8 for $269

For the next three hours only, Amazon has the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC for Canon EF for $269.99. This is $50 off the regular price of $319 for this sharp, ultra-wide angle, manual-focus lens.

This lens is designed for full-frame cameras and one of its best uses is for astrophotography. Read a great (astrophotography-focused) review of this lens.

eBay: EOS 6D (Import) Body $1049 or with 24-105L $1599

redtagcamera via eBay has started two deals on the Canon EOS 6D. It is only $1049.00 (body only), or the Canon EOS 6D with 24-105mm f/4L Kit is $1599.00.

These are the lowest prices seen yet for this full-frame body; redtagcamera via eBay is not an authorized dealer so a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed — although it is historically honored by Canon. The auction listing clearly states the body is brand new and has built-in Wi-Fi and GPS.

If you’re not comfortable with purchasing from an unauthorized dealer, please consider two deals from B&H that require a mail-in rebate, but come with a printer and paper, and free one-year Adobe Creative Cloud photography plan.
