Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 Now $799 at B&H (+4% Rewards)

B&H Photo Video has a great price on the Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM. It’s now $799.00, and also comes with a 4% reward (a credit for $32 towards your next purchase at B&H, given 40 days after your purchase).

Free shipping and no tax collected (except when shipping within NY state.) This price drop really seems to be in reaction to the $380 price drop of the EF 35mm f/1.4L. The Sigma Art 35mm at $799 is a downright steal when compared to the 35L II (street price of $1675).

Lexar 128GB UHS-II SD $65, 64GB 1066X UDMA7 CF $90 at B&H

Lexar has some good deals on high-speed memory cards, at authorized dealers (Adorama, B&H, and Amazon).

On sale are their fast UHS-II bus, U-3 speed class SDXC cards, rated up to 150 MB/s. Canon cameras today do not use UHS-II but are these cards are backwards compatible to UHS-I. Also on sale are UDMA-7 compact flash cards, rated up to 155 MB/s.

Deal is Back: 5D Mark III for $1899 Grey Market, AllNewShop eBay

This deal is back: AllNewShop via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $1899.00. This ties for the lowest price for the 5D Mark III seen yet.

AllNewShop via eBay (also known as GetItDigital) is not an authorized dealer, so this is import or grey market. A Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed, but Canon USA is historically known to honor it anyway (at their discretion and subject to change at any time.) Please beware an upsell call and stay firm — decline all “upgrades” to a “Canon USA model”.

Sony UHS-I 94MB/s SD Cards, $55/128GB, $15/32GB at B&H

B&H Photo Video has two great deals on high-speed SD memory cards. They have the Sony 128GB UHS-I SDXC U3 for $54.95 (note this is out-of-stock but you can still backorder at this price.) They also have the Sony 32GB UHS-I SDHC U3 for $14.95.

These are high-speed UHS-I cards, rated up to 94 MB/s. According to B&H the deal expires tomorrow, October 20th.

Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX 11-16mm f/2.8 for $349, Roberts via eBay

Authorized Tokina dealer Roberts Camera via eBay has the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX 11-16mm f/2.8 for $349.00. This is the lowest price we’ve seen yet for the ultra-wide angle fast lens, it was introduced at price of $599 four years ago.

Please note this is a “DX” lens designed for crop-sensors and will not achieve a full frame of view on a full-frame sensor body. Both Canon and Nikon mounts are available. Roberts Camera via eBay is an authorized Tokina dealer, this item comes with the lens hood and a 3-year Tokina USA warranty.

Canon USA Price Drops: $380 off 35L (mk I), $300 off 5Ds and 5DsR

Canon USA dropped the price on the EF 35mm f/1.4L USM (old version) — it is now priced for clearout at $1099 from authorized Canon USA dealers. Some dealers are already showing this price, and we expect B&H, Adorama, and Amazon to update shortly. A very limited quantity is available via street price for $1049.

Also consider the Canon Direct Store, which now has the refurbished 35L for $879.20.

The price drop does not surprise us, as this lens has been replaced by the 35mm f/1.4L II (street price of $1675), and also features tough competition from the Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 (street price of $779).

Canon USA also started $300 instant rebates on the EOS 5Ds and EOS 5Ds R. The advertised prices are now $3399 and $3599 respectively. This is still considerably higher than our street prices of $2949/$3249 from an authorized dealer, or the eBay import deal of $2649/$3049.
