Redtagcamera via eBay has a grey market Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 on sale for Memorial Day — it’s now only $929.95, when you apply coupon code “PMEMDAY” in-cart. This deal expires on Friday at 11:59 PM PT.
This is for the recent “G2” update to the lens.
Note this is likely a grey market lens and a Tamron USA warranty is not guaranteed. Compare with a regular price of $1,199 for the USA version with full warranty.
If you missed out on the deal, it’s now back! Via our street price program we have a bundle of the EOS 6D Mark II, BG-E21 Battery Grip for EOS 6D Mark II, PIXMA PRO-100, and 50 sheets photo paper for only $1399.00, after a Canon USA $350 mail-in rebate. Click here, then fill out the form to get the deal.
This is a fantastic savings on this camera; if you sell the grip ($120) and printer parts ($140-170) you can net this great camera for about $1150.
Today’s B&H DealZone (one-day deal) features the Westcott Rapid Box – 26″ Octa Softbox for only $129.90 — a $40 savings vs. the regular price of $170.
This is a very highly-reviewed softbox, which takes a regular Speedlite. Reviewers praise its sturdy construction and the ability to setup and take down easily (it closes like an umbrella). It comes with a tilting 5/8″ receiver mount, as well as a front face which diffuses light by 1 stop.
We now have a street price on the recently released Speedlite 470EX-AI. It is now $375, brand new from Canon USA authorized dealers. Free shipping, and a limited quantity is in-stock now.
This has been a very popular speedlite, with the introduction of a new “Auto Intelligent” bounce technology. This function measures the room you are working in, along with the set focus distance, and automatically tilts and rotates the flash head for the best bounce flash results. The early reviews have been excellent!
Today’s B&H DealZone (one-day deal) features the Vanguard Reno 41 DSLR Backpack for only $29.99 — a $40 savings vs. the regular price of $70.
This is a good sized backpack which holds a DSLR with a lens, a flash, and accessories between padded dividers inside a rear-access gear compartment. The backpack features a front vertical zippered pocket, and a zippered storage compartment at the top.
Three different color options are available.
We featured the Kobra Flash Modifier kickstarter campaign last year. It was popular, but ended up just shy of the funding target, and the project didn’t proceed (with all money refunded). We’re pleased to see it back for a 2nd try, and this time they’ve already smashed through their funding goal!
If you use on-camera flash, the Kobra Flash Modifier is one of the slickest diffusers we’ve seen yet. It’s a two piece modifier — a clear, flexible silicone diffuser, which snaps secure into the “Kobra Band”, a black silicone band that hugs your flash head tightly. It looks elegant (and not at all dorky — ahem, Gary Fong), won’t pop-off your flash, and is compatible with many different flashes.
They’ve improved the offer significantly — the previous campaign offered the basic diffuser for $58. In this new campaign (via Kickstarter) that lasts until June 9th, the basic diffuser is $38 + shipping and the band + diffuser + 6 gels is only $58 + shipping (compare with a previous price of $80). Get in early, this project is the real deal this time!
