FAQ About Street Price Deals on the EOS R5 $3699, R6 $2299

Our street price deals on the EOS R5 and EOS R6, brand new from authorized dealers, have been extremely popular. We’re sharing some of the frequently asked questions about these deals.

When does this deal expire?

This deal is expected to expire on the weekend, please start the street price ordering process with ample time to complete your order before the deal expires on Saturday or Sunday.

Will you have this deal again?

Astute readers will notice that we’ve periodically had this deal, approximately every 1-2 months, over the last year. We can’t be certain, but we think this is the last time we will have this particular deal this year.

Aren’t we close to Black Friday? What if the price goes down?

The return policies at most dealers have been extended to cover the holiday period. If the price goes down at the same dealer you should be able to get a price adjustment. We think it’s unlikely that Canon will discount these two cameras significantly though, given all the supply issues. We recommend buying now if you want to ‘guarantee’ having the camera (instead of having to backorder on a deal later).

What’s the mechanism for saving the sales tax?

Please inquire using the street price form for more details. We have several options for each camera with different characteristics.

Adorama’s Extended Return Policy, Returns Accepted Until February

Several readers remind us that Adorama has also extended their return policy (for the Holiday shopping season). All items purchased between Oct. 15, 2021 and Dec. 25, 2021 will have an extended time period for returns and exchanges, where returns are accepted until February 1, 2022.

As previously mentioned, this should give you the confidence to purchase now (while stock is available) but not miss out on any upcoming deals — although we think they will be unlikely this year.

Adorama is currently showing stock of the EOS R6 and some RF lenses:

B&H’s Holiday Return Policy Active — You Have Until February 2022

B&H’s most generous holiday return policy is now active: their usual 30-day limit on returns and exchanges is extended, and you have until February 1, 2022 to return or exchange items purchased after October 18, 2021 through January 2, 2022. They note that all their other standard return policy conditions apply.

For us Canon deal hunters, this is great insurance — if you buy now, and if Canon were to later launch a big sale, the extended return policy should let you qualify for an easy price adjustment, covering the whole pre-Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and last-minute deal season. For the most flexibility, leave the item unopened — so if it’s another dealer that has the sale (and B&H isn’t matching, for some reason), you can do an actual return if needed.

Given all the supply concerns, our recommendation would be to buy or pre-order now (while there is still stock), and in the unlikely event there’s a sale, you can still partake in the deal!

B&H currently has these popular RF items in-stock.

Street Prices: EOS R5 ($3699), EOS R6 ($2299), RF 50L ($2199)

Our street price deals are back on the EOS R5, EOS R6, and RF 50mm F1.2 L USM. The cameras are discounted $200 each to $3699 and $2299, and the lens is $2199. These items are from authorized Canon USA dealers. This is for a brand new Canon USA model with a 1-year Canon USA warranty and free shipping.

The dealer has a method for you to save the sales tax. A limited quantity is in-stock.

Please inquire for the details, including the information about the sales tax.

B&H DealZone: MindShift Gear Bag, WD Ultrastar HDD, NiSi 100mm

Today’s B&H DealZone (one-day deal) features a number of deals, on a MindShift Gear shoulder bag, WD Ultrastar Data Center HDDs, and a NiSi 100mm Filter Holder kit with CPL.

Best Buy: WD easystore 14TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive, $199.99

Best Buy is discounting the very popular WD easystore 14TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive to only $199.99. This is a very popular drive as it can be ‘shucked’ to remove the 14TB drive inside, which is typically (but not guaranteed to be) a NAS-class hard drive equivalent to WD Red.
