Indiegogo: FLEX Bolt lightning trigger for DSLR and Mirrorless ($99)
There’s an interesting campaign on Indiegogo for the FLEX Bolt, an easy-to-use lightning trigger for DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Simply attach the trigger to your camera and the included trigger cable, and your camera captures images of lightning strikes. You can configure the sensitivity of the trigger via an app on your phone.
An early-bird pledge of $99 gets you a trigger plus one cable; according to the creators, this product is ready to be shipped and pledges will be fulfilled in June, 2023. This is a great price compared to other commercial lightning triggers, which typically are priced at $200 or more.
As with all crowdfunding campaigns, there is always a risk that creators will not be able to fulfill the rewards of the pledge.
