Be careful. Synology recently changed their hard drive requirements — you can only use first-party branded drives in every one of the systems (except their ultra-bargain “j” line).
So any seemingly decent discount you get will be quickly eaten up by the extra cost for storage.
The Synology DS925+ and DS725+ are no longer subject to this restriction. You can use third party drives on this NAS (as long as you are using the latest DSM 7.3 OS).
