The Canon Store started a refurbished sale last night. Which deals are the best available?
- RF 50mm F1.2 L USM is now $1499.00
- RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM is now $1899.00
Why? Although not the lowest price seen yet, these two lenses are both steeply discounted, and within $200 of the best price seen yet. Both prices are well below the used market prices of the lens, and the sale seems to have quite a bit of stock (unlike the Black Friday sale)!
- RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM is now $799.00
Why? This isn’t the lowest price ever, but other than for five brief minutes during Black Friday 2024, we haven’t seen a lower price for this refurbished lens for over a year. Given all the pent-up demand, this lens has been very popular during this sale as well as the January (which featured the same price).
- RF 50mm f/1.8 STM is now $99.00
Why? This is within $10 of the lowest price seen throughout 2024 for this refurbished lens — a great deal, and only $20 more than the refurbished EF counterpart!
- EF 35mm f/1.4L II is now $999.00
Why? This price ties the lowest price seen yet for this refurbished EF lens!

Nobody should sleep on either the RF 50mm f1.8 STM (now sold out as I write this) or the EF 35mm f1.4L II. The RF 50mm is a powerhouse in a small package, and the results it produces for the price can’t be beat. The EF 35mm f1.4L is considered by many to be superior to the RF equivalent. It was one of my dream lenses when it was released back in 2016, and thanks to CPW, I was finally able to pick it up at this price back in October. It snuck by under the radar then, because everyone was waiting for a big Black Friday sale that never came.
