The competition in this year’s Black Friday Refurbished Sale has been ferocious — not only did the store empty within minutes, the restocks are highly contested too: many restocks sell out within minutes, which is faster than our traditional email/push alert systems.
If you’re tired of endlessly refreshing the Canon Store, check out our new Refurbished Restock Live Stream, which is a real-time, streaming view of our restocks as we see them at the Canon Store. The feed updates automatically every 15 seconds, and should give you the best chance of landing that refurbished lens deal.
Good luck shopping!
Hey there, thanks for the heads up. Is there a way to get some sort of browser alert when a new product is posted on the live stream?
Is getting harder and harder to buy things, thanks for your great website!
Thanks
People are going bonkers this year, they bought everything even before the sale started. At midnight most items were already gone. Either Canon has less stock this year or people are using bots to buy large quantities and resell.
I only managed one item this year (R6II) and completed purchase within 1 min of it going live. Previous years have been much more fruitful, but this year was crazy!
Outfits are using bots to buy large quantities and resell. For sure.
No good for those of us that want to get a couple things at a traditional rare steep discount. It really sucks this year unfortunately.
Hordes of photographers are indistinguishable from bots… given that even the not-so-good (not resaleable) deals are sold out too, I just think there’s a lot of demand and little supply. Even most of our street prices are about to sell out.
Canon could easily fix it by not allowing accounts to buy large quantities (e.g. more than 2) and only allowing 1 account with the same shipping address.
This thing is crazy, I saw many items on stock in real time and when clicking to buy is already out of stock.
