I called Canon again right away, telling them about my backordered orders from December, and that the lenses now show as in stock. They confirmed, but did not understand why the warehouse did not automatically fulfilled the pending orders. They took my credit card information, honored the December prices (which included 15% extra discount and a $250 Canon Raise credit), and bumped up to faster 2-day shipping. They created new orders, and the old orders were cancelled.
I shall see by end of the week whether I finally received those lenses. If so then this was an expensive week ;P

Once again it seems Canon did not stand to their words (the sales representative said I would receive the items by the end of the week, and it is Friday now, with no delivery notifications). It is a repeat of what happened in February, only this time they cancelled my original orders from December, and no new orders shown in my “Order History” 🙁
