JFYI, I ordered one yesterday, but I have changed my mind since then (I am not a pro and have already got 50 1.2) and I am planning to call Canon Direct first thing tomorrow to cancel it. Not sure if it will go through though…

Well, I might have got lucky. A guy in one of my groups canceled his order. When I checked it was in stock, and let me complete check out. So here’s hoping! I’m still going to call when I get off work to ask what was wrong the first time.

I ordered the RF 70-200 on Saturday at 11am. I paid for 1 day shipping and today my order was still processing. I called and they said it is out of stock and that they can’t give me an ETA for when they can ship my order. It is frustrating that you have to reach out to find out that they don’t have any in stock. This morning it was still showing in stock and allowing people to order. The response from the rep was that maybe we oversold or something, I don’t know, sorry. I did not leave feeling confident in their customer service.
