Looks like a V1 to me

It is. This is not the Everyday Messenger v2 that was released in 2019. Technically speaking, this is the Everyday Messenger v1 Version 2. At some point in time, Peak quietly updated the v1 Messengers to include a luggage pass-through or “trolley tunnel” as we called it in at my former company. The original versions did not have this pass-through, and it was updated only on the Charcoal and Ash versions. They did not update the Heritage Tan. Same with the 15″ Messenger.

Ah ok so it is a version 2 as opposed to a v2? (v1 version 2 vs v2) I’m still new to Peak Design stuff, been looking at them since I’ve been having issues with my Lowepro bag and Lowepro’s lifetime warranty isn’t really lifetime ….

I have a bunch of Peak Design products. They are well worth the premium you pay (but that premium does make their Kickstarter discounts so much more attractive). Everything is well-made, and their customer service is top-notch, but this is why you pay a premium. I use at least one their products every time I go out shooting, usually more. Like everything, they do have their limitations. If you’re considering them, I highly recommend getting on their mailing list. On April 7th, when they launch their travel tripod worldwide, they’ll be offering a 20% discount on all non-tripod products.

One more thing: Even though the pictures on Adorama do not depict it, if this is indeed the v1 version 2 as CPW has indicated, then it will have the pass-through. At this point, I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t have it, if they quietly updated these styles. The images do show it over on B&H (which has it listed at $175). And it looks like this sale price is good until 3/30. I have the 13″ v1 version 1, and while I wouldn’t say it’s great at carrying a DSLR-sized camera. But as a laptop or lens bag, for what you get, it’s a steal at this price.
