I hope EVERYONE understands this to be the old EF version – not the RF version. This isn’t the same amazing deal that was at the end of last year with the RF lens package.

It is an EF lens however it is not what some would consider ‘old’, that would be the 24-105 L IS. This is actually the middle oldest of three 24-105 EF lenses. That is unless you consider anything older than a year old in photography internet millennial G.A.S. terms.

yes, and thanks for mentioning.. It’s the non-L variant. Even worse in some ways? Over Black Friday/cyber Monday, there was the deal involving the RF 24-105 L kitted with the RP for.. 1499? I think? and the deal with the RF 24-240mm. Now that’s a good deal.

It’a not a bad lens by any means, especially if you are a hybrid shooter.

Be a bit wary of this deal, just understand what you are getting into and come to a conclusion yourself. You can currently get the EF 24-105 f/3.5-5.6 brand new/used varying between $300-400. The adapter is $100. The RP body is currently $999, with frequent bundles of the adapter. The added accessories are a nice touch, but this is not a door buster type deal so keep that in mind.

$599 for that lens new is a far cry from $300-400.
