Is CC different from just regular photography package? I currently have the photography package(LR and PS classic) which ends mid next year. Will this work to extend that subscription or is this a complete different plan?

This is “Creative Cloud Photography Plan”, which is just the LR + PS plan that you have. It should extend your subscription (make sure the storage amount is the same — this is 20GB, there’s also 1TB).

The other one is “Creative Cloud”, which is the expensive all-apps version that is ~$30/month.

Thanks. I’m asking because something got screwed with my last CC Photography order from Amazon. I couldn’t get it to link to my current subscription and somehow that plan got activated past July and will expire at the same time the plan I’m using expires. I wasted $100 from that purchase. I’ll give it a try for 2 this time. Remember if you have PayPal and Chase Freedom, you can also get 5% back!

Adobe can usually fix it if you run into that problem. The last problem was Amazon’s subscriptions can’t be used to renew an existing subscription.

Does this include Lightroom CLASSIC as well? Or just CC? Thanks!

    1. November 28, 2019 at 11:13 pm EDT

      It has LR classic.

  3. November 28, 2019 at 11:12 pm EDT

Looks like you can get more than one, unlike when BnH does this. Got 2 years worth.

  4. November 28, 2019 at 11:49 pm EDT

Did not get a redemption code immediately

Same. Been an hour since I made the purchase. No redemption code yet.

Weird. Wonder what’s up with that. Maybe they got hit with Black Friday traffic?

The site was getting hammered. What’ve read on SlickDeals indicates it taking 6-12 hours to come through.

Yeah, noticed today as well. Lots of retail sites sluggish today. Must be a lot of traffic.

Want to purchase but won’t get my new PC for a bit as currently building it. Will it be an issue to redeem at a later date?

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      November 29, 2019 at 12:45 am EDT

Shouldn’t be — you can redeem that redemption code whenever you’re ready. Just don’t lose it.

      November 29, 2019 at 9:58 am EDT

Ming, I think you can be logged into (or have CC tied to) 2 PC/laptops at a time. If there’s an issue, just log out of one of them. I have 4 total, and that’s how it’s seemed to work for me.

        November 29, 2019 at 7:07 pm EDT

Thanks! I just don’t want to start using it until I get my new PC built and ordered. Starting fresh after so many years on this PC and having the older LR

I placed the order and got the “Thanks for your order” email from Lenovo US. Thirty (30) minutes later, I got the “Software Download Info” email with the Adobe CC Photography Plan redemption code. And fifteen (15) minutes after that, I got a “Shipment notification” email from Lenovo.

BTW, note that Lenovo is charging sales tax.

FWIW, I placed my order on 11/28 at 11:26 pm EST.

While I understand the appeal of cashback sites, I want to remind everyone that purchases directly through our links support our site and the work that we do (curating, researching, and sometimes creating deals). We don’t run banner ads, like other sites.

Thank you for your support when you make purchases through our links, we are thankful and appreciate it greatly.

        November 29, 2019 at 10:01 am EDT

I clicked on your link, CPW, and the rakuten 12% CB pops up. I don’t see why activating it would cancel out my purchase supporting your AWESOME site….

Hi Roger, actually, if that popup is from the Rakuten browser plugin/extension or another CB site’s plugin, then yes, it takes over attribution for the sale (and unfortunately away from us).

Thanks I was just looking at my current plan which is this I believe but I pay 129$ for the year and it doesnt auto renew until Jan 2020, Just want to make sure I can utilize this and how would I go about it lets say if I want to buy 2 years (make sense if one year would cost me $130) I dont want to mess up my current plan thats paid for until the beginning of 2020 but also dont want to get auto-charged again

Im sure im over complicating or overthinking this 😀

      November 29, 2019 at 3:57 pm EDT

As long as this plan (CC Photography Plan, 20GB Storage) is equivalent to your existing plan, purchasing this for $85+tax and redeeming it will extend your expiry date by one year, to Jan 2021. You can purchase multiple years and extend for multiple years.

Please don’t buy this if you are currently on the CC All-Apps plan, or the 1TB Storage plan, or you will end up “wasting” one or the other.

      1. Jennifer Felman
        November 29, 2019 at 4:05 pm EDT

thanks I definately have the 20GB

        Photography plan (20GB)
        Annual plan, prepaid
Renews automatically on January 6, 2020.

Just want to make sure, once I purchase does it auto extend if I use the right email or do I need to go and apply it to my adobe account once I get the details?

Im sure ill figure it out I just like to plan ahead before I get out the credit card 😉

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      November 30, 2019 at 8:05 am EDT

I believe this is OS-agnostic, it should work for both Windows and MacOS. You download the software directly from Adobe anyway, Lenovo sells you the code that activates your subscription.

I placed an order for this on 11/29 at 5:30 am. I just called Lenovo customer service (11/30 at 6:30 pm) and was told that the redemption codes would be emailed out when their team in North Carolina is back in the offices on Monday. I obviously don’t know the accuracy of this information, but wanted to pass it on. The representative was very friendly.

Oh boy I hope you are wrong… In addition to purchasing one recently (via CPW) to renew my one year subscription, I just bought 2 more years during this Black Friday because of the low prices.. 3. CanonPriceWatch
          December 2, 2019 at 1:18 pm EDT

Ouch. This is quickly turning into a debacle!

    2. CanonPriceWatch
      December 2, 2019 at 5:21 pm EDT

People who ordered very early already got codes.

What likely happened is this: Lenovo sold out of the codes they had on-hand. Now they’re going to Adobe to get more codes, but Adobe is likely balking as I suspect they don’t like it when retailers sell their products at a discount… let’s see what happens next.

      1. Derick
        December 2, 2019 at 6:30 pm EDT

So purchased 11/29. Still “pending” as of this am. Perhaps CPW ought to have a discussion with this vendor.

        1. CanonPriceWatch
          December 4, 2019 at 10:43 am EDT

I’ll try, but unfortunately, I don’t have a direct contact to this vendor. They’re a huge multinational corporation with 57000 employees, but somehow can’t get a few Adobe orders straight! What a mess.

  32. December 4, 2019 at 11:27 am EDT

I purchased the offer Nov. 28th. It is still pending on my PayPal account. I tried to call, was on hold for over an hour and a half. Finally gave up. Tried to cancel on PayPal, they won’t for 30 days, wanted me to cancel through Leveno, I can’t get through however. Very unhappy with the whole senecio. What is CanonPriceWatch doing to remedy?

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      December 4, 2019 at 11:31 am EDT

Unfortunately, my hands are just as tied as yours — this is a Lenovo issue, please contact them and escalate with their CS. I am trying to reach out on my end but getting the round around just like you are…

  33. Sean
    December 4, 2019 at 12:31 pm EDT

Just for another data point, I ordered Friday 29NOV at 0037 EST, and have yet to receive anything other than the “Thanks for your order” email. The Paypal is still pending authorization.

I have plenty of time before my current subscription runs out, so I’m not worried. However, I don’t expect CanonPriceWatch to fix it, since they’re not the actual salespeople. I just appreciate the fact that they’ve been able to get me so many great deals in the past, and if this works out then it’s just another great deal I’ve gotten through CPW!

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      December 4, 2019 at 12:40 pm EDT

      Thanks, Sean.

      1. J
        December 4, 2019 at 1:38 pm EDT

I also want to concur that this is not a CPW problem. But, since this website has such a huge following, I’d think that any retail company would be anxious to have a positive outcome for the customers in this space. Were I a vendor like Lenovo, I’d not want a whole lot of folks upset with my company so it would just make sense for Lenovo to pay attention and fix this mess.

CPW, you are great. I am sure this is as upsetting to you as to us.

  34. Eric Ortiz
    December 4, 2019 at 1:29 pm EDT

Many thanks Gordon for all you’ve done. It’s clear Lenovo dropped the ball here.

I’m in the same boat. I placed my order on 11/29/19 at 12:10 EST. Other than the “Thanks for your order” e-mail, I have not received any additional communications. Left a chat window open for 2 hours and watched while it counted down for a customer service rep. I was next up and nothing appeared in the chat box. Poor Lenovo experience.

    1. Derick
      December 4, 2019 at 1:46 pm EDT

Agreed, this isn’t a CPW issue. They just pointed to a deal a large reputable company had going on.

I’m currently almost two hours into a chat window (number 27 now, started out at like 138). So, I guess I will see what they say now that it’s been 48 hours into their “someone will contact you in 24-48 hours” comment.

The responses from a Lenovo agent just now.

“My apologies that the Adobe you ordered on 11/30/2019 is not yet sent to you.”

“As of the moment, we are still waiting for the response from Adobe and waiting for the product keys.”

“Rest assured that this issue is being taken care off by our order management team.”

“It seems that we have received a high volume of orders for the product and we are unable to foresee it. My sincere apologies for that.”

“As of the moment, there is no definite date yet but don’t worry this is being taken care of already.”

Thanks so much for that update on the issue! I’m sure they’ll eventually come through but I wish they would put a timeline of some sort or at least reach out to those who are on “backorder” like any other company would instead of just ignoring all who bought this…

Nothing new, I filled out the tweet with all the personal info and was told it would be passed along and since then, nothing. I feel like they just screwed up, don’t have licenses and don’t know what to do. But the fact that for a week, they accepted the payment and offered 0 information to anyone voluntarily is just wrong on their part.

I don’t get the people on here that suggest CPW need to do anything to remedy this? they found the deal and shared it with us. didn’t create the deal. take it up with Lenovo, or wait patiently like the rest of us. CPW thanks for all you’re doing, greatly appreciated.
    (Ordered Thu 28 Nov 2019 23:51 EST, still waiting…)

Yes, still waiting. Got a hold of a Lenovo rep yesterday morning to be told the same thing as others – “we are still waiting to have the code to send in our end so please give me within 24-48 business hours to give you an update about it.”

Just got it today. I did get a quick reply on Twitter 2 days ago saying they would “investigate” but I think today’s email is just that they finally are catching up. Still a good deal. Thanks,Gordan / CPW!

Just got an email from Lenovo saying my order was canceled “per your request.”

I also got the cancelled order message today. I had a chat with Lenovo yesterday and was led to believe they were getting activation codes from Adobe. It looks like Lenovo (or Adobe) was not prepared for the number of orders placed. I have asked the person I chatted with for an explanation.

I also received the order canceled ‘per your request’ email, but I did not cancel it. I talked to a representative yesterday who said they were waiting for Adobe to provide the product key. Now I’ve been on hold for 34 minutes pressing 0 every two minutes (in order to not get disconnected) since they did not return my previous attempt to have them call me back when it was my place in queue. @lenovo @adobe #creativecloud

Mine was cancelled, Two hours and two phone calls, it has now been re-entered at sale price. Now the wait begins again, starting week 3. Will not buy anything from these guys again.

I also got the cancellation email from Lenovo today. After spending 40 minutes on hold and then another 40 minutes talking to three different people, my order was finally re-entered into their system at the sale price. An hour later I received the activation codes. This purchase has been a huge time suck but at least it finally worked out.
