Amazon Prime Day Starts on Monday July 15th. Here’s What to Expect

This year’s Amazon “Prime Day” will start on Monday, July 15th! The deals start at 3 AM ET on Monday July 15th and run until 3 AM ET on Wednesday July 17th. Amazon’s Prime Day will have many exciting deals, many restricted to Amazon Prime members only. Just like the previous four years, CanonPriceWatch will be watching all the deals.

Don’t expect deals on Canon cameras or lenses on Prime Day. Canon items are restricted by a MAP year-round and Prime Day is no exception. You can browse last year’s live-updating post or our archive of Prime Day related posts for examples of what was available. We expect to see great prices on memory cards, filters, bags, Rokinon lenses, color calibration, studio equipment, and perhaps a 3rd party lens or two. Deals sell out quickly, so be prepared to jump on them (or waitlist). It is also a perfect time to pick up Amazon devices (such as Echo, Echo Dot, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Kindle and assorted subscriptions).

As many deals are restricted to Amazon Prime members only, now would be a good time to sign-up for a free 30-day trial of Prime if you haven’t yet already. Be sure to check back on Monday 3 AM for the deals!

When should we expect the yearly Canon summer sale?

I’m hoping for pelican cases to go on sale. The Pelican 1650 was on crazy sale last year but I failed to complete the checkout process before the sale ended.

It certainly looks like the Pelican cases are going to be on sale again this year. I’ve seen a few of both Pelican and Nanuk cases pop up on the “Prime Day Sale” list so far.
