Unfortunately, it appears that most of the excellent Canon promotions are ending on Saturday, June 29th. This will affect all purchases at Canon USA authorized dealers. First, several of the “free items” offered with purchase of a camera will no longer be offered:
- Free BG-E20/E21 battery grip with 5D Mark IV / 6D Mark II
- Free EF-EOS R mount adapter with EOS R / EOS RP
The free 13-month CarePAK PLUS on select cameras and lenses is also expiring. Purchases must be dated June 29th or before to be eligible for this accidental damage extended warranty from Canon USA.
Finally, while many of the current instant rebates will be renewed, several will not, which results in an effective price increase on the items. Notably impacted are the EOS R, all of the M-mount mirrorless bodies, and several lenses. More details to follow when we can confirm the list.
We expect that the next major Canon promotions will appear in the fall build-up to the holiday deal season. If you’re in the market for gear, now is the time — or be prepared to wait until the fall.
